Hah- you guys should see what goes on in a shop near me. Construction equipment- like say a Cat 966. Cab comes off, wheels come off and everything gets slid into a container. Bolts don't come off? No problem-they get burned off. Have to wonder how these guys get some of this stuff back together on the other end.

Welder...

I'm surprized seeing that.

Although if the memory serves me good I saw it for sale for $40,000.

If it came less than 20 grand I suppose it might go for a work also.

Just don't forget - it was in work than in the States.

Anyway I'd better like to see it at Macungie or another place around its Motherland.

Hope it will come to a good home though.

A good friend of mine passed away 3 weeks ago,he had a R-700 3406-400 HP Cat 8LL 44 rears doubleframe and 17' aluminum body. Exporters bought it and now on its way to the other side.No way of saving them all. Joe D.

Yes Joe we lost another Mack nut (Ray Joe Neare) 50 plus years in dump trucking ,,He had stories

Ran his Oakville Canada Mack in the late 80's,, before Ray bought it,, and with that Canadian spread it rode smooth compared to the U.S 54" camelback I had

Jim Rayjoe and I worked together over 25 years. We met at the Landfill in Kearny,Newark NJ. and worked there a few years then down to Atlantic City, Philly,Harrisburg. WE went to Florida to work the tri-axles about 15 years in the winter.Sometimes we made a few bucks but other times we lost our A$$. Quite the adventure we had.As you knew him he was one of a kind.Did you drive the R-700 for J+R. ? As for stories its like Vegas when you work out of town it stays out of town. LOL. Joe D.

SMDH What a Damn shame . All these old dogs leaving the states thanks to these GD Fing exporters .

I See some Macks in Puerto Rico thay look that good or Chromed out more than the R Models in the pics . if they are gonna export em wth not exprt em to Puerto RIco . what ive seen of the Bulldogs there in pics & on video they seem to be taken care of for the most part .

Id love to have a good older R Model Dog to start over again & Run in & out of the rock , sand & dirt pits all day . Sure be easier for me to work on when something goes wrong . .

& if Tri State in Memphis didn't have certain parts anymore I know of several guys around my neck of the woods that have enough spare parts & could build a R , DM , U, F, & MH Models out the spare parts .
