Howdy from South Carolina

Recommended Posts

Katie,

Southern food is very tasty. Of course most food meets with my approval (and it shows - dunlaps disease). You need to come to Lititz in October and sample some good "northern" and "PA Dutch" food. Friday night is the clam bake with lots of other food including MAJOR desserts. While in the area you need to sample pork and sauerkraut and shoefly pie. Yum Yum!

I cooked the fried chicken in my special flour yesterday!!

Whenever we go down to the Outer Banks, we always bring home 3 or 4 bags of Abitts Seafood Breader Flour- which I use on chicken breasts cut in strips...GOOD STUFF......and sweet hush puppy flour w/ onions, too!!!

At least my truck is growed-up!!!!

Randy

Unfortunately that's about as a big a Mack truck as I can work on anymore!

It's been in the family since 1968, and basically been mine since 1980 so I've grown pretty fond of it!

If I had room and could work on them like I used to I'd have that old H-61 of ours that Mike Yarnall has to go with it!

Get Mike to build an addition to his building and you can rent some space.

Guess i'll just stay here and cook these two porch chops on the grill. They're really thick, so I gotta go low and slow. They were in the reduced bin, but they looked good. If they smell good i'm gonna eat it.

I'll post another picture after they're cooked, if I don't have food poisoning.

Fried chops od!! Not grilled

I like to grill stuff, and have a beer while i'm grilling!

light charcoal, have a beer. dump charcoal in grill, have a beer. I put some rub on both sides, put them over indirect heat, had a beer, got the secret recipe bbq sauce at the ready.

put them over direct heat to brown them some- keep cooking until out of beer, even if they're over cooked.
