Mack made a rare single seat cab thingy but to me that looks like an imbred R model.

I thought it looked like a CCC with a RD grill and badges but the puppy motor and gauges makes me scratch my head! Manufactures did some crazy stuff back then.

The only difference is they usually had a DM grille on the front so this makes this truck a little unique with that R grille in her.

Those were known as the HMM, one man cab that tilts to the side for engine access. This was Mack's first venture into a front discharge mixer chassis.

The Mack HMM Front-Runner was ahead of its time.

Your pictures are pretty cool. I like the colors of it.

When we think of one-man half-cab vocational chassis, we probably tend to think of Crane Carrier. But Freightliner was quite active in this segment as well, begining with the WFHT in the 1960s and leading to the Uni-Body in the 1970s.

Great pictures and info. According to a Mack Model Production sheet I came across there were 14 HMM685's and 130 HMM6856's produced.

I wish one of the 3d printing guys would make a model of the HMM in HO/1/87 or 1/50 scale .One of the western heavy haul guys had some as tractors
