We got the Mack build records and painted it back to the original colors except for the black inside the frame. V8 runs strong, Mack 9spd, Spicer 4spd, mack rears on air. I was at Gearhart's and I cannot believe after hours in the Superliner row I never looked at the visors!too much other eye candy on them I guess.mackdaddy,The sun visor on your 83 is a factory one. Mack put both on up until 1987. After 87 they stuck with just the lund sun visor. On new way air. on 19 axles Was looking to see if the Pan was still on blocks Seen this 2 days pryor and chuckled. But had no idea what happened for them to abandon it on blocks in the truckstop. Sold new as one of 2 identical trucks out of Montana, ended up in Wyoming with the same owner for many years. He retired and sold it to Osborne where it sat for a few years. Runs really good and no apparent issues. most likely I am going to offer it for sale. Popular Post E9V8 Posted April 12, 2015 Popular Post Share Posted April 12, 2015 Spied what's left of this Superliner wrecker on Thursday:I'll try to get better pictures if I get back that way again.Took two years and a new (cooperative) shop manager, but here's an update.....The owner wants to resurrect his Superliner and will eventually sell it.From what I can tell, it was built in 11/82 and is an RWS788LST.Transmission appears to be an Eaton 13 speed and the rears are Mack on Reyco spring suspension.The engine is definitely a 6 cylinder Mack, but I didn't get to see it. The driver of these also was on the tour and probably en route from Hayward CA to points east. The paint schemes on the western trucks different from the plain colors on the eastern trucks.
