Chicago R models

For what I paid, couldn’t pass it up, essential paid scrap value.    Hasn’t ran in about 8 years.  Tilted the cab and was surprised to not see a turbo!  Never now when you need to crane something.  40 foot of boom and 8000# lift capacity.   Right now the plan is to get it running and see where that leads.

Had the pleasure to meet Bob Brite a few weeks ago.  They moved to a new yard down the street from the Heights plant.   Still has an R model that was his first new truck.

180 hp motor, 5 sp trans,  10k steer and 34k rears on Camelback.  The guy I bought it from, his son in-law had contacted the Mack Museum.  They sent him the build sheet and some other   Information.  Started life out as tractor in New York City.
