Saw this R model awhile ago.

Think I've seen that one too at one time or another. Not familiar enough with any area of Chicagoland to know where however.

So what can I use in the axle trailer  to keep the dirt and stone from sticking when it's below  32 degrees can't use fuel oil  and it has no liner calcium cloride  ?

I used calcium chloride hauling gravel it would last half the day until I had to respray it then it would melt anything stuck in the trailer before I reached the pit.

Some guys swear by using vegetable oil. I mixed calcium chloride with RV antifreeze, that worked well on loads that couldn't smell. we use diesel unless the load will be sniffed.

Ok guys thanks I ll try the calcium. Don't like them using the excavator to scrape  that aluminum box 6 wheeler  steel box is different but that aluminum  can get messed up with  those teeth

Go to a home improvement store and buy a piss can (weed sprayer) fill it up and use that you don't waste as much and you can adjust the amount spray stream.

I'm thinking it was sold to Peterson's?? The trucks look very similar??

That's the same truck. Petersen still has it, but the made a water tank for their roll off truck. The B doesn't see much use these days. The old DBC pics are pretty cool, I think that was right around when the truck painted.
