The truck is finally finished and returned to duty.It was test driven,all hoses retightened, exhaust manifold retorqued. Good to go.The shutters came from Phil at Global,Nice set,thanks Phil. I snapped a few pics before they picked it up.Truck has been kept in absolute pristine condition by the fire dept.My hat's off to them!

anyone know if they make a single inlet paper type thats the short style like the old R model? puttin a 300+ in a 66 r model and right now i have the twin inlet air cleaner on it but the removeable top but its junk. would like to put a hood scoop on it with a single element dry type short air cleaner.

Pumper 316 looks great; nice job on the rebuild. It should last for quite a few years more then settle into retirement as a parade piece. Looks like the

body was replaced at one time; it appears to be a Ranger body. That's not unusual, most 1970s fire truck bodies rusted away and had to be replaced.

It was not a Mack problem, it happened to all the steel bodied trucks.
