Shipping Wars? Love it or hate it?

I've never seen it either, apparently I haven't missed anything though.

Ice Road Truckers did kind of jump the shark. Except for Hugh, Alex, and Rick, all they do is whine about who's leading the load count. The gold mining in Alaska show is pretty good though- I heard that guy on a radio interview once and he said not one bit of that show is staged, it's all real just like it happens.

Producer of poorly photo-chopped pictures since 1999.

The one show that really boils my pasta is that Operation Repo. Total BS! Big burly dude gets kicked in the nuts or slapped out by some 5'0" chick and is rolling around on the ground in pain every episode. I used to run a towing company as well as had my own trucks. Did a bunch of repos in my time. Not once did I have to deal with sh*t like that. I grabbed the car when no one was looking and got the hell out of there. I never asked for keys or knocked on the door. Some areas they would shoot first ask questions later.

I do like that Wrecked show on Ohare Towing in the Windy City. That seems to be more real then staged

I talked to one of O'Hares drivers a year or so ago,he said the reason they did'nt do the show anymore was an argument over "creative differences" meaning they (O'Hare) did'nt want to add any staged "drama" i kinda liked that show as well.............Mark

I used to run wreckers up in the 'burbs of Chicago...when that show first came on, I'd call up the operations manager from the tow company I worked for and we'd get a pretty good laugh. Those idiots would send 3 heavy duty wreckers (and spend several hours on the scene) to do what we used to do with a single medium duty wrecker in less than an hour. If I had problems up in the Chicago area, they'd be the last place I'd call for a tow. I'd track down some amish people to bring their horses out to pull me to a shop before I'd let those clowns at O'Hare hook to my truck.

Most all are crap and all scripted, only one I watch every now and than is Chip Foose's Overhaulin.

Kind of like Orange County choppers so much bullshit! Got too out of hand. Thought that show was about building bikes not scripted family drama

The family drama started out as scripted with all the yelling but turned more real and the distain Paul jr had for his father became real. I met Sr at a 4th of July party one of my clients invited me to a few years ago. Paul SR was one if his customers . The guy was super nice and genuine. It's a shame that TV and fame can ruin a family and we watch it on the boob tube for entertainment without seeing the pain it causes behind the scenes.

Bob - Just hang out at Tilted Kilt or Hooters. It may cost more but the entertainment educational value is definitely worthwhile.

Don't forget Show-Me's...or any other "breastaraunt". Of the 3, Show-Me's is my favorite...then the one Tilted Kilt I've been to...Hooters is overrated based upon the several I've been to...overpriced food and the women on the calendars are NEVER the ones that bring me my food.

Hooters Casino is still running in Vegas but I think that's going under soon too. That place was WT heaven. Almost looked like a Howard Johnson's with a handful of table games and slots in the first floor. Rooms are cheap and the wings are good.
