It's a 1964 Chrysler Imperial. Something my dad always wants. He's had a few over the years, they're cool. Needs a little TLC, but it's neat. Runs and drives.

Tell your father hes very smart. MOPAR should be like this-MOPAR not little like that. I'll get pictures of all the MOPARS laying around here at Nana and Papas.

Got a 413 in it?

When there was an Imperial in the demo derby, it was usually the last man standing. Very, very strong unibody on those.

Man that car is really neat. I would want to put a 426 Hemi Nascar Motor under the hood, blue printed and balanced, B & M Hydro 6 Speed Transmission, suspension updated for the curves, spot lights on both sides, mud flaps, and big gangster walls all around, with very dark tinted windows. Also leave the paint as is.

Yes, yes it is one of the best demo derby cars around. If my dad wouldn't have bought it, his buddy would have, and derbied it. But my dad won't. It's just a driver. My dad has derbied just about 200 1971-'76 Chevy station wagons though. He did it for 27 years, and ran against a lot of Imperials too.

Yea, it has a good, strong 413. The '64 to '66's have full boxed frames front to back. The '67 to 75? (something like that) are unibody cars with really strong front sub-frames (known as "Noser" or "Hammerehead" Imp's)

Someday, I want to build an Imperial with a 5.9 Cummins. That will be awesome. But this one is going to be pretty stock except for the 18 inch wheels we're putting on it.

My Dad had '60 and '63 Imperials, both black. Absolutely beautiful cars, but the '64-'66 were my favorites.

Here's an idea...

Those are actually the wheels we're putting on it. We're getting the 18 inch ones though, those 20's look kind of hokey. We put the 18 inch version on my dad's '71 Monte Carlo and they look awesome.

Cool old car. Most all the derbys in this part of the country have banned the early Imperials.

Yep. We just went to a derby on friday that had '70's or older but no Imps. The one next week is allowing Imperials though, and there will probably be 5 or 6 of them there. But not my dad's car. Never.
