I would want to put a 426 Hemi Nascar Motor under the hood, blue printed and balanced, B & M Hydro 6 Speed Transmission, suspension updated for the curves, spot lights on both sides, mud flaps, and big gangster walls all around, with very dark tinted windows. But my dad won't. It's just a driver. My dad has derbied just about 200 1971-'76 Chevy station wagons though. (something like that) are unibody cars with really strong front sub-frames (known as "Noser" or "Hammerehead" Imp's)Man that car is really neat. We just went to a derby on friday that had '70's or older but no Imps. The one next week is allowing Imperials though, and there will probably be 5 or 6 of them there. But not my dad's car.
