ThaddeusW 54
I found this video on YouTube by chance. It was taken 14 years ago and there are some great Mack's in there, B's and LJ's including an LJSWX and a B80-something.Anyone know who owned these trucks or what happened to them? It was taken off route 22 in what the poster thinks is Berlin, NY. 1 Quote -Thad What America needs is less bull and more Bulldog!

BKrois 2,506
I've been by there and have some photos from the yard. Its on Rt 22 in Berlin,NY right near a concrete plant owned by Bonded Concrete/Ready Mix (i believe). There was an article about the owner, William Craib in double clutch some years back. From what i recall the owner of these trucks was in the construction business, not sure what happened. Across the street are a bunch of old dozers, scrapers, etc that belong to him as well Quote BryanMy Photo Albums
twostickmutt 20
ol' bill is still alive. talked to him a while back but last i knew he won't part with anything. he had just as many trucks at his house Quote and remember "PREFORMANCE COUNTS"
ThaddeusW 54
ol' bill is still alive. talked to him a while back but last i knew he won't part with anything. he had just as many trucks at his houseI cant understand (but at the same time I can) why people hoard trucks and don't let them go. Next thing you know they pass away and their family calls in the local scrapper to clean up the property to sell. All the while he could have sold the trucks saving them instead of sending a whole slew of rare iron to the scrap heap in one shot. I do however understand the mentality of not wanting to part with something. You work hard to acquire something and its yours. However, I would still rather sell than let it rust away. Id take that LJSWX and B80-something. Quote -Thad What America needs is less bull and more Bulldog!

1957B61Vt 95
he was still around this summer . I stop in once in a while and talk with him about old trucks and such. He is about 15-20 miles from me . He is a good guy and he lets me wander through when ever . I tried to buy a b model off him He got quiet then changed the subject and told me I could look at em all. but did not really want to sell one. I spent hours there the first time. BKrois 2,506
Just found and scanned a few photos i took there back in December of 2005. The article that was written by Dave Zsido about Bill Craib was in the May/June 2002 Issue of Double Clutch Quote BryanMy Photo Albums

fauthpk 33
I met bkrois several times during the restoration of my truck. You guys have any questions about where to find a particular truck he knows where it is, or has a picture of it. He is a great resource to have. Makes me sad when people would rather see their iron sit out and rust rather than let someone restore them.Pete

1957B61Vt 95
I got to know him a little bit ! he was a neat ole timer and if you stopped and had time he’d talk old trucks for hours they were all part of his company he said he built a lot of Rt 22 in that area and something to do with the state and money he just parked it all but nothing was for sale the few times I stopped . But a few did leave the past few years. Couple brockways and a steel dash R model with a v-8 Detroit in it it’s on you tube loading and leaving on a trailer he had lots of stuff planes too !
