bobo Posted September 18, 2013 Author Share Posted September 18, 2013 Never mind the mess behind the overhead! the cardboard cut out is the template for the extra brackets i made to carry the extra weight. you can see extra holes (pics #2,#5) i riveted the plates to existing roof brackets and and spot weld lip where roof is attached. It took quite awhile to remold the the console, i cut it out and flipped it. but now i can see the radio screen! I also added metal strips to stiffen the mounting ledge then went over it with fiber glass, the sanded the console smooth. BOBO Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
rsb502 Posted September 18, 2013 Share Posted September 18, 2013 Not being able to see the whole screen on the stereo is a pain for sure but I can't get into that fibeglass/epoxy work ID end up destroying the whole thing before it was over.
