  1. I work in the office here at Sparr Truck and had a customer call looking for a replacement engine for their 1991 DM. They claim it came with and still has a 12-valve in it, so my question is how long did they run the 2-valves for? I had always thought that they switched over to all 24-valves in the 90's(other than the V8s, etc.).

  2. We bought out a warehouse that had some NOS parts for their old R-model Mack fleet; I'll go through and make a list of what all we've got as we go through it. For now, here's a list of new reman turbos we have for sale:

    AiResearch - 4LE 303 / X631GC486

    Brand Unknown - 631GC463

    Tip Turbine - 418GB46 MAT / TF7301

    Schwitzer - 4LE 303 / X631GC486

    2 x AirResearch - TV-61 / X631GC4101P17

Brand Unknown - TE0648 / X631GC487 (Looks like an old style 237 turbo)

    Mack - 4LE 292 / TV7703? (The three could be something else) / X631GC5111P2

    AiResearch - TV-77 / X631GC5106P6

    Garrett - S3 / 631GC5123P5

We'd take $400 each on the turbos and on the one tip turbine we'd do $250. I don't what these will cost to ship yet, but I'm guessing around $40ish.

  3. Thought about you guys, should go for a good deal if any of you need a clutch. We just bought out a warehouse that had quite a bit of new Mack parts in it, we'll be going through listing most of the stuff on ebay. No interior parts other than one late R-model A/C cover, but a lot of parts like turbos, bushings, clutches, water pumps, bearings, a few reman 2-valve heads, stuff like that.

  4. Yeah we just recently got that truck in, meant to come over here and share it with you all. It's definitely not the original mileage on it, but I get calls all the time with people asking, "What's the odometer read?" even after I tell them it's not original so it just saves me a step. It's just a 237, the horsepower's just a typo I'll fix on Monday. I'd work with any of you on the price if you're interested, the truck isn't perfect, but it's the nicest Fmodel I've ever seen come through.

  5. Your reply dated 14 September"

"Umodelnut you didn't ask me anything and that's why I never replied."

I went back to your first post on 07 September and here are some questions that were never answered...

    Any MH parts?

Yes pictures would be nice. Do you have any U models? I know a couple years ago you had like three U models on TruckPaper.

I am not trying to create hard feelings but if you are going to post something as important as "parts for sale" you should check-in more often.

I sent him a private message and talked to him about it when that was asked. Right now I currently have one Umodel crane truck if you're interested. If you need anything, it's best to just give us a call, though I will check on here from time to time. I've had people from this forum call me before and I've always helped them right away.

  6. You guys really jump to conclusions pretty quick, but regardless the only person I dropped the ball on is Vlad and I'm sorry about that. We ended up letting a couple guys go and I'm the only one in the office now and it's pretty hectic. I had a customer come in with 6 containers and this forum was the last thing on my mind. If you guys really need anything the best thing to do is just give me a call 352-620-8522 and I'll go do some looking around. We're just an old fashioned junkyard, there is no inventory list, there is no computer database, it's just me and a phone.

    - Vlad I'll send you some pictures tomorrow of the grills we have in stock, again my apologies.

    - Umodelnut you didn't ask me anything and that's why I never replied.

    - The craigslist ads are just my dad, I showed him craigslist the other day and he can't believe that they let you advertise for free.

We do export trucks and parts, I sell trucks and parts locally as well. There's nothing wrong with exporting stuff guys, I'll sell parts to anyone who's going to use them, that's a heck of a lot better than just letting them sit on the ground and rot away.

  7. I'm not trying to hide anything, we definitely export most of our trucks. If you have an African wanting to give you $8,000 for a nice old R-model vs. a local logger who wants to give you $3,000, which one are you going to take? Don't get me wrong though, if a local wants to pay around the same price as the other guys I'll try and hold it or work something out with them on it. I'd rather sell them locally, but honestly it just doesn't work out that way 90% of the time.

The only real thing I would have to offer you all is parts from our yard. We get plenty of trucks in that just aren't worth fixing on our end that have lots of good parts. Also the export guys don't really like cabovers or Bmodels so those stay in America typically.

  8. Yes we do still have the old B67 that's missing the air compressor. If you'd like, just message me your e-mail address and I'll send you all the pictures I have of it. We've had it for a while, but when we first got it in we push started it and it fired up and we just left it at that since it was missing the compressor. Other than that the body is in real good shape, has the old concave back on the cab and the glass is all there, just a little bit of rust on the bottom of the passenger door I believe.

Yarnall I'm going to send you a message here shortly.
