  1. It looks great. I have no idea on the sending unit. I’m no mechanic. Mike.
  2. Even though it is not the original trailer it would be reasonable to save it. I don’t know what it would cost move it, but it wouldn’t be cheap to have another one built.
  3. He also said they were not taking the trailer. It’s a shame but it would be a huge expense to get it back to Basking Ridge.
  4. Thanks I assume they are original. The engines is not. I think it was run low on oil and replaced.
  5. I have a 1979 GMC Sierra 7000 firetruck with a 427 and Allison automatic. It only has 22,000 miles on it. I got it really cheap because they only got one other bid and didn’t want to sell it to that guy. It’s in great condition but geared really slow.
  6. I have a junk B model cab that you could have the gutters if you too them off. They are outside of Pottstown. I have not looked at in some time. Maybe they at no good. mike
  7. Great work. No surprise that it has soma battle scars.
  8. Thanks for the photos. Is the LJSWX a complete truck? If so, are you selling it whole?
  9. My 1972 CF719 came with a twin turbo 864 V8 and a 2 speed automatic Spicer. It was such a piece of junk the fire company considered junking it but then had the spicer replaced with an Allison. Mike
  10. I used the same electric fuel pump from Napa on a 707 too.
  11. Where are you located? My father has some springs in parts he bought a few years back. We are near Macungie.
  12. I would check with Chicago corvette. I got. Rebuild kits from them. Don’t remember if I got one for an EN540 or not. We usually put electrics fuel pumps on. Mike
  13. There was rust through above the cab and elsewhere. Still a great price for someone who wanted a nice project.
  14. I called the guy about it. The previous owner was installing a newer Cummins but never finished. There is rust on the cab. Big project, but pretty low starting price. It would be well worth it if you could do the work yourself. Mike
  15. I can look the next time I am near it. It is in my father’s garage.
  16. Nice. I’ll have to call about this. mike
  17. I put a carter electric fuel pump on my 405A. It works great. What is your serial number. Mine is 405A1002. Mike
  18. Send me your number and I will try to send you photos of my father’s truck.
  19. I’m told the repair is to cut out the bad peice of steel and rebuild it like it was originally. I would think someone on here has done it. Maybe someone else will chime in. Nice truck.
  20. There is a piece of steel imbedded in the fiberglass that provides support to bolt the hood to the hinge. Even in the best cared for trucks, the steel rusts and damages the fiberglass. If it gets bad enough the hood can fall off. That is likely what they were trying to fix with the metal bolted one. let’s see some pictures of the whole trucks. mike.
