  1. There is an mb on the for sale board at Macungie. I hope you'll be there today and bring your company's mb. The truck is in Vermont. Mike
  2. Thanks for all your hard work Doug. I'll see you in the morning on our first trip. Mike
  3. I'd love to have that H model. If it was in Pa I'd be bidding on it. Mike
  4. I called about the B773. 335 Cummins quad box. Current owner has it a year and has not had it running. Asking $15,000. That's out of my price range. Mike
  5. There is a huge truck flea market including old and new truck parts, models, signs, petroliana, literature. It is probably the biggest old truck flea market in the country. Watt's will be there. Mack Trucks sometimes is there selling stuff. There will be plenty to see at 8 am. I think flag raising is at 10. You can check the link. Mike
  6. I've wondered the same thing. The bad thing is the officer can do whatever he wants once he has you stopped. Best to not give him any reason to pull you over, like not having flaps. I am sure there are plenty of things they could find on my trucks once they start looking. I drove to Indian in a truck without a working speedometer or tach. I pulled a trailer to Syracuse without a CDL. Noone stopped me though. Mike
  7. We are all at least a little crazy. Shame about the emblems. Keep saving them. Mike
  8. How about some serial numbers? Thanks for posting the pictures. Mike
  9. If you are going to get antique tags try JC Taylor unless you want to pull a trailer. Then call Gulfway. If you are going to use it commercially at all you will need commercial insurance. Hope to see you at Mack Day in Lititz on October 6. Mike
  10. I was thinking about calling and asking. I'd like to know too. If they tell me I will post it. I would have loved The MD TA or M TA or a TD. Lots of neat stuff on the list. Mike
  11. They sure are goofy looking. Just like the U models. Roger Gerhart has one that he breaks out every year for Mack Day. It is great to watch and listen too. I do not know any details. Mike
  12. The yellow pickup on the right is mine too. Not a Mack, but at least it has a bulldog on the hood. The AC on the left is also mine. Well mine and the banks. I ran it out of fuel on Thursday and it hasn't run right since. I have to take the carb apart again. Thanks. I met a lot of really nice people and saw a lot of really nice trucks. It was great to see trucks in person that I have only seen in pictures and to meet their owners. We are so lucky to get to do it again next week at Macungie. Mike
  13. Nice truck. You can send your hydrovac to White Post Restoration in Virginia. Mine cost $500 about 4 years ago. I thought that was a little steep but the brakes work great. I had everything redone: master cyl, wheel cyl and hydrovac. Probably $1800 total. I didn't do the hydrovac on my L model and those.brakes don't work as well. I should have it done but I have been too cheap. Mike
  14. The hood of a b65 is a little longer than a b67 and Specs little shorter than a b61. It had the.flush mounted bumper. Someone.else.will know more. The book says there were 177 b66's made. There is one in my garage and parts of one behind it. The one inside has a concave cab. The one outside has a flat cab. Mike
  15. I'll be there from Thursday to Sunday. I wouldn't miss it. I will have a bunch of yellow fire trucks there and some other stuff. My FWD fire truck is not road worthy so I will not be bringing it. We are leaving for W. Springfield in the morning. Sorry, I don't have any extra storage at my place. I am getting a concrete floor put in my addition the week before Macungie so I will have some of my trucks sitting out too. Mike
  16. I believe that Roadway H63 was Harry Muschlegel's who had owned Jevic and now owns New Century. He sold his High Binder to Tackaberry a few years back and his Crackerbox to another guy from Ontario. I was also wondering where Dr Bill's W went to. Now for a trip to Virginia. Mike
  17. Go get it. Sounds great. Your going to need a bigger shed. Maybe hit out the insurance company for a littlet more. How about some pictures?
  18. I just watched the video. That was pretty good. You can see Tom Spencer's BX behind him when he is talking about the LTL and going down the road at the end of the video.
  19. I haven't watched the video, but Tom Spencer made a lot of videos in the nineties. He used to make a video at macungie every year. We have a bunch of them on VCR tape. He had a beautiful Mack BX rigging truck that is one of my favorite trucks ever. He sold that to Iowa 80. He sold everything including his farm in New Ringold, PA and moved to Florida about 6 or 8 years ago. He also had a 1930's GMC truck tractor that was one of a kind that he sold to Iowa 80. There was an article in double clutch about the company it came from a few years back. My parents saw him at Gary Mahan's open house two weeks ago. Hopefully he will be around for Macungie. Mike
  20. Dave, Do you know anything about this place? I assume it is not Gerhart's. I could use a few little things. Mike
  21. Sad news about the car driver. Keystone in Boyertown was running their 72 Ward LaFrance until 3 years ago and just replaced their 61 IH brush truck last year. Not too many old fire trucks in service around here anymore. Mike
  22. Saw an add for this auction in the Lancaster Farmer. I can't go, but the pictures are really nice. There are a whole lot of beautifully restored Farmalls and that Autocar. I'm out of money anyway. http://dilliardaucti...D0%26nojava%3D0 I hope the link works. Click on "view photo album" The Autocar is most of the way down. If not search dilliard auctions and look under May 26. Mike
  23. That sucks, but the CF looks good. Didn't Upper Saucon have a really nice B model pumper that they sold about 7 years ago? Mike
  24. I'll be driving my F715. My father is driving his Superliner with my AC pumper in the trailer as long as we get it running. It wouldn't start so we took the carb off and rebuilt it then found out the oil gauge was broken. Took that out and drained the oil. We'll put a plug in the block for now. Once it is back together we'll see if it starts. If not we will take the 1950 Autocar C90. We are leaving Wednesday sometime. It will be good to meet some of you there. Mike
