Almost a month, any update?

I’ve got a 20001CH with a setback front axle and my hood is in need of replacement. My question is does anyone know of a vision hood would work on this truck? My guess is it won’t but maybe someone else has some definitive answers.

I don't think it matters what wires go to what terminals. It's a coil inside looking for ground to resist against, generate heat and in turn heat up your coolant.

Most of the time the thermometer is also a sight gauge, meaning the hydraulic fluid will be visible in the thermometer if at the same level.

That sounds like a good find. How are the crossmembers? I've got a replace all the crossmembers on my 35 ton lowboy.

What Range should the fuel pressure be in? I have a 2001 350 Etech that I just got put together and it feel sluggish to me. The most boost I have seen so far has been 25psi with a load. I just did a complete service, oil and all filters. Going to check for more boost leaks, found one so far in the hose at the air compressor.

Plowed or not, here in upstate NY milk trucks go until its picked up or the truck will not move. Its the same with my roll off business- we service a hospital and the compactor gets pulled no mater the road conditions. They by law cannot pile garbage up- it must go, so we need to be there. The local towns do a commendable job and the state makes white roads at the thought of snow in the air.

It happend to our town highway a few years back. Always good for a laugh as long as no one gets hurt.

There are atleast 2 criminals in this story- the guy suing and the attorney taking the case. If the government in this country would make a law that counts it would be one that would make the attorney just as responsible as the person bringing a frivolous case forward if it's determined that they are wasting the time of the courts and the people. Maybe that would stop some of this nonsense before It gets started. I haven't seen all the facts but it seems to me that Golden corral certainly provided more than what would reasonably be expected to feed human being.

I traced the trolley plumbing- (3) 3/8" lines, one supply, one exhaust and the delivery port goes to some, I would assume, check valves connected to the treadle valve. From there I'm not sure how the system works. Jim- thanks for the diagram. I will have to go back to our other tractor and look closely at the trolley plumbing. Before I use this truck with a load I want to be sure its right.

Law of averages is certainly not on the side of Fed Ex moving as much freight as they do. Old Dominion is in there as well. Sad story.

My 2001 RD 688S tandem started life as a straight truck. I bought it as a straight truck and converted it to a tractor. As a straight truck the trolley lever would apply the brakes on the truck tandem. In converting it to a tractor I installed the tractor protection valve and the red and blue supply valves in the dash. Using one of our other tractors I did the plumbing for the red and blue supply valves just as it was on the existing tractor, grabbing air for the new valving from the supply line that was already supplying the yellow parking brake valve. The output from the red trailer emergency valve I ran to the tractor protection valve and I grabbed service air from the treadle valve from a port that had a plug in it. Nearest I could tell this was similar to the plumbing that was on our existing tractor. However now when you pull the trolley valve on the converted tractor all the brakes come on. What do I need to do to just make the trolley valve work for the trailer brakes only?

My concealed carry permit is good everywhere in New York except for the five boroughs of New York City. I just filled out the pistol permit with four character references and our sheriff approves the pistol permits in our county. Once your approved you take a mandatory safety class put on by the sheriffs department I believe it was four hours long.

The best way I have found a do a conversion like that is to go to a junkyard and find a cut off that is hub piloted. It'll save you about half the cost of going with all new parts.

On my RD688s roll off, I do 250 hour oil changes. Grease every week.

E-7 is a tough motor. Have the pump worked, bigger injectors and turbo- you will be impressed. Plenty of happy posts about working a E-7. Just do a search.
