  2. I am looking for a good take out unishift trans for my B-61 tractor. Another possibility would be a rebuilder willing to take on the project. It split the aux case . Up until that happened it was working well with no noises or vibrations at all. I believe it to be a TRDL 725 Call me at 570- four one nine- 1099
  3. I need a replacement Unishift Trans. for my B-61 tractor . I believe it to be a TRDL 725 Email me or call me at 570- four one nine - 1099
  4. I recently bought a DM Mack triaxle and today I went to adjust the clutch and it is different than the others that I own. I used to use a special tool and you removed the lock tab and bolted the tool on and used it to move the collar on the pressure plate. This one appears to have a hex head piece that I think has a gear on the back of it to move an internal ring , It has a spring behind it and you press it down to turn the adjuster. I moved it both directions today ( a little) and was wondering what direction the hex piece should be turned to get more adjustment on the clutch-
  5. I have a Mack B-42 tandem dump that has been converted to a 673 diesel. I've owned the truck for over a dozen years and have used it as a site truck in my Excavating business. It always starts and runs great and has a Duplex transmisson and power steering. It's not road worthy because of some rust on the double frame rails and some worn suspension. I believe it to have 44K rears and is sitting on a mix of 10.00X20 tires and some 11 R 22.5's the steering tires are in great shape and the rest are ok= I have decided to sell it as I bought a B-81SX last year and don't need two of them. Ask me about the title. I do not have one for it but do know where to point you to track the original down. I never pursued it as I never intended to put it on the road. The cab is in great condition as I think that it was always a dump truck and the cab shield protected it from the weather- floor is also solid with only some rust on the front fenders. There are a couple of leaks in the Hydrolic system and the power steering . The truck has an air starter but I do have a rebuilt electric starter for it as well as a series parallel swithch and generator- It starts with a little push so we never put the new starter on it but it goes with the truck. The box is a 13 or 14 ' and is possibly vintage to the truck. It's a 1959 same year as the truck . It's a very restorable truck!!!! I have a bill of sale for it from when I bought it and will provide the buyer one as well Any questions feel free to call me at 570-419-1099 Asking $5500.
  6. My Compound case on my unishift transmission split and I need a replacment trans or parts to fix. This truck is so original I hate to have to resort to dropping a duplex into it but that may have to happen if I can't find one. Mine is a TRDL 725 out of a 1965 B61 with a 673 in front of it- Any help locating one would be greatly appriciated !!!!! Feel free to call me at 570- Four One Nine - 1099 thanks!!!
  7. Hi I am looking to buy an older R model tandem tractor that is roadworthy with a wetline would prefer 300 or more engine and p/s jake a plus. Ready to go to work . No newer than 90 or so call Keith at 570-419-1099
  8. Personally I prefer the 977L to any of them. I have a 953 and a 955L but none of them push like the 77- or lift as much The hydrostats are nice and agile but in a hard push it's hard to beat the pwer shifts of yesterday
  9. About a dozen years ago I discovered a "Pin Torch " that Cat sold. It consistes of a handle with a collet and a welding lead and inside it has a valve that is used like a cutting torch valve. It has a hose that is hooked to an oxygen tank. The rods can be bought in varous diameters and lengths and are held into the torch by a collet. they are steel tubes filled with steel and Magnesium? rods. It come with a striker plate that is serrated copper . You connect the torch to one lead of your welder and the striker plate to the other. To start it you strike the end of the rod across the striker plate and squeeze the Oxygen trigger . the end of the rod lights and you can burn a hole through the center of the pin that you want out. this super heats the pin all the way through and when it cools and contracts you can usually knock the pin out with a light tap. Yes it is expensive but I found the rods at Fastenal in bulk for about 1/3 of what mother Caterpillar wants for them. Yes there is a lot of slag flow and sparks as it pushes everything out the entrance to your hole , but it sure does the job!!

  14. Had a bad day today with my B61 / Unishift transmission. I have maxi brakes installed on my truck and it has sat for about 3 months . Went out today to move it and built up air and took the brakes off and they were fast. I tried to ( gently) rock the truck in reverse and 2nd low and heard a terrible noise from below. Got out and found the auxiliry case split!!!!! Can't believe my eyes, never have seen a Mack case split ever---- but this one is- Need to find a unishift trans to replace it- air shift one. Any help would be greatly appriciated!
