  1. Looking for the two position head light switch for my 47 85LS fire engine. The knob is a brownish mahogany in color with the word LIGHTS engraved in it. Trying to keep the knob the same as the others. Knob appears to be glued onto the rod, so looking for new or idea to get old knob onto new switch.
  2. Yes, it was. The transmission part was easy to see, the speedometer I could only feel and see the cable housing and nut. The speedo shop took one look at the nut and said no problem.
  3. Thanks all, the local speedometer company looked at the casing and said "most" ends at the speedometer were crimped square. I had him make one and the crimped square end went right into the speedometer.
  4. Looking for the speedometer cable for my 47 85LS1112 Canopy Cab engine. The outer casing is still there, but no internal cable. Any ideas on where to find would be nice. Then I can see how slow I am actually going. I believe the part number is 98AX411.
  5. I am in the process of rebuilding the carb on my 85LS, it is a Holley #885JJ. Any ideas on where to call for a parts breakdown, and what rebuilding kits/parts are available.
  6. My 1947 LS85 has developed an issue with the pump. I fixed the vacuum valve for the clutch pedal last year and up until last week I have been able to engage the pump and with a garden hose adapter fill the pump and create pressure. Saturday I was at a show and tried to do the same and the primer pump engaged in all three of the pump handle positions. I have not looked much beyond figuring out that the primer pump is constantly engaged. Any ideas?
