  1. No on the special job,we brought 2 more latter that year.On the r and u,dm they were all brought for one job.We took 20 r686st Tractors,15-DM600 tri-axles.We had to wait for the r models to be built Mack found 10 u models that were already built that we could,so dad brought them to.Both the u’s and r models pulled new Benson dump trailers.
  2. I have checked the b model registry but none are listed.
  3. Yes, we had heil bodies put on after we took delivery.
  4. Here’s the other pictures I have of the info for my truck.
  5. When I get a chance I will post pictures of all the info I have on this truck.I also have a original price sheet for Mack B87’s from 12/55.These trucks were originally meant to be for the oil fields, heavy duty extreme duty.I know ours was never abused but it was loaded to the hilt.It would haul a 100 ton load like nothing. You have to realize this was back before dot’s inspections,I have a picture of it hauling one of our shovels completely deck out ready to dig.
  6. Mark, the truck was in service up to 1996.It was used to pull the lowboy from new to 1984 daily after that it was a backup to the 2 dm800 tractors we had.In all the years of pulling over weight loads it never failed us.
  7. Any throughts on the b61sx that were purchased at the same time?I have the serial’s numbers for those trucks am going to check the Mack register to see if any of them are still around. There was a fellow that had one he said right around the corner from our old yard, never got over to see the truck and I lost his contact info.I have a picture of one of the trucks when it was new, looks like a real beast. If I find it will post it here.
  8. Side note the Mack dealer I went looking for and where it once stood is now a Planet Fitness.
  9. Well mattb73lt would be closest with his guess of $25,000.The real price is $27,300.At the same time dad brought 3 b61sx would anyone like to guess at there price.Again these trucks were also heavy spec.
  10. I read that the new Ford F-150 electric version only made 87 miles pulling a rv before it needed a charge.
  11. I will wait for somemore answers, before I give any hints.
  12. My question to all of you is can you guess the price of a 1964 b873sx tractor, way back in 64?As I was going through the paper work on this truck that my father purchased new back then,I came across the original bill of sale, chassis delivery receipt, motor vehicle purchase order.I was somewhat surprised at the price.Pretty much everything back then was an option even a heater and defroster, which it has.It has the Cummins motor and most all of the other options. So have at it boys,I will post a picture of the original bill dated 5/27/64.
  13. Just got it back from the neon guy.He had it done and as we were loading it the k crack. He had to redo it.

Glad to hear your on the mend. Listen to your docs.
  16. Joey, you remind me of a friend. He worked for the cat dealer for say 20 years, then went to work in one of the mines in ne pa now he’s out on his own. Only chargers 85 an hour should be 110-125.
  17. Joey Mack, what are you doing for 60.00 an hour.Up here in se pa 60.00 an hour gets your grass cut.Triaxle dump trucks are only at most 90.00 an hour.
  18. Happy Birthday make it a great one.
  19. Tic,what is the Durham report?Would like to read it.
