I need to pull the injector pump off my 711 motor, its a ape pump I was told that if I don't turn the motor over after I have it off that their is a coupling that can only go back on one way or 180 degrees off, is this true? what should I do before I start removal?Any advice? Appreciate any help.

I have a question for you guys,I am rebuilding a U-model it to has a 300-with a 5 speed,on the road it runs about 70 mph at 2300 to 2500 rpm if I remember right. that is with the pedal to the floor and the governor kicked in.Question: does it hurt the engine to hold it to floor ?reason I ask is on the dash it has a decal that says hi-low I am wondering if it had a 2nd stick at one time?( By the way that is one sweet truck)
