80-90 grand ? I wouldn't get my hopes up. Even if it did, trucks'd be get'n paid $70.00/hour then. Typical Jersey big power crossmemberless steel body dump truck will be around 300K and a aluminum body one around 320. The price of them is insanity. A nice daycab tractor is easily over 250K. Who is it that's make'n the money to afford these ?
Are u saying dump trucks in NJ are working for 70 an hour?

Here in N.C. if you road test in an Auto truck, you only have a license for Auto trucks.. 😞 what the hell happened??
Same here in NY..

my 2022 Kenworth T880 was $239,000 delivered with body, high lift gate, and pintle hitch attached plumbed for air brakes.
the 2023 on order was quoted at $265 for cab chassis.
dealer is pushing for signed contract and wanting $10,000 deposit.
we are waiting for the price to drop 80-90 grand.
Your gonna have a long wait..🤔

One thing is certain,in dump trucking these new big hp automatic trucks will run rings around any so called old school trucks, hell you can’t even keep up with one if your in a car..lol

I would stick with the original type springs and pads, how do u improve the ride on 38000 rears, they already ride like an old caddy..

Similar concept to a mack taperleaf suspension. They ride quite well but some people say they're too weak. If you're grossing 80k max and not pounding the sh!t out of it they might do well. My family had 2 with taperleaf doing dry bulk and they did fine and both trucks I have now are taperleaf.
I don’t think anybody is gonna gross 80,000 0n 38,000 suspension,not for long anyway..

You can replace the u-bolts with the trunnion mounted.. this suspension is hard work but doesn't require any special knowledge.. any smart mechanic can repair this suspension.. Torqueing the u-bolts is where the real hard work is if you dont have a hydraulic torque tool..
Or a fifteen foot pipe and a once breaker bar..😂💪

Probably a dumb question but how do u replace the u bolts guess u have to remove the the spring from the trunion bar right,I know on the 58’s u have to remove the caps and drop the bar?

21QB3249P174 Control Cable Genuine Mack Truck Bulldog Parts 21QB3249-P174 NOS..
I found this on EBAY.. not sure if it correct.. I typed Mack CL throttle cable, in the search bar, and a bunch of listings came up.. Jojo
No that’s a throttle cable different from the accelerator cable,I’ll check my old bill receipts,I replaced this a couple times in the past, but lubricant might work if I can get it in there..

I'm guessing, Mack cant find the part # with the V.I.N. ?
I used to take my dirtbike cables off and poke one end through the corner of a ziplock bag and go around a few times with elec. tape to seal the bag to the cable. Then pour a couple ounces of ATF in the bag and hang it up. ( Kinda like an I.V. bag) in a few hours, or over night, all the ATF has poured out the other end. Just an old way to keep my cables lubed.. On sorter cables I have used a drill and spun the cable. like a screw pump, i could dip it in ATF and it will pull the ATF through the sheath, and come out on the drill end. it takes a few minutes to do it this way.. Jojo
I can get the cable at Mack but thought I would look on line to avoid the insane price mack charges for everything now,I’m gonna try and get some lube in it,it’s just to slow and sticking a little..
-
I ordered a can of cable lube and a fitting that is used to force the lube into the cable,I’ll see how that works..
-
Would anyone possibly have a part number for the correct Accelerator cable for a cl with an E-7 350,looks like about 80 inches?

The prices are really not out of sink with everything else when u think about it,price a new f-250 superduty with a few bells and whistles on it and most of those are just daily drivers, owners don’t make a dime with them working, and it’s just a pickup truck..🤔
