  1. I don't know one local trucking company around here working for FEMA or the primary contractor, they are all out of state, guess you gotta belong to the club..
  2. Just found out this truck was working for FEMA hauling some kind of clean up debris, looked like mulch or maybe shredded wood to me,these guys are working 7 days a week not sure how many hours a day, also was told they are exempt from dot regs while in NYS doing storm work, not sure if thats true or not!!
  3. I don't drive long haul or eighteen wheelers for that mater but I think he just wasn't paying attention when the traffic stooped in front of him, they said he hit 38 cars before the truck came to a stop, also it looked liked he was hauling mulch from one of the pictures I saw, that would mean he was a local trucker, see what they say tomorrow!
  4. Looks like another black eye for the trucking industry, according to the preliminary reports this truck crashed into cars that were stopped or slowed down for construction work on the LIE,over 36 cars involved one dead and many hurt some badly.
  5. I adjust mine till I get about 2" free pedal and my clutch brake comes into proper adjustment at the same time,on a side note why are you going through so many clutch brakes, one mistake is applying the brake or fully depressing the clutch pedal while the truck is moving, good luck and be very careful if you mess with the outside adjustment, you can get screwed up real quick if you do it wrong, don"t ask me how I know, lol
  6. 18 years,at least ya got your moneys worth out of that one..
  7. How do you think that would work out on the driver side door, would it hit your leg, should be ok for pass side.
  8. I found a u-tube vid on the install for the type that Chevy posted and they do go behind the door panel, just gotta make sure it's a heavy duty motor made for trucks and rv's,still looking into it..
  9. Thanks,do you have to change anything else, looks like there are window tracks included, also how do you get something like that on the window crank?
  10. I would love to have power windows on my 96 cl,has anyone done a conversion, also I remember years back someone maybe Mack made an external type electric window motor but I haven't seen one lately, any ideas or should I just keep cranking..
  11. I'd love to hear the tip turbine on a 315 with 50 psi going through it..lol
  12. A lot more costly but you should be able to find something at a marine store.
  13. Not likely to happen but make sure the vehicles are not contacting each other.
  14. First ya gotta pay uncle sam, that should be a nice piece of change, ouch that's gonna hurt..
  15. I always had good results with wet-sanding and them compound and polish, just take your time.
  16. One thing for sure, anything you threw away you'll be looking for in a few weeks, lol, never fails...
  17. There was a speed calculator posted on here somewhere,I don't know how to find it but maybe someone can re-post it for you!
  18. From what I can see in the pictures it looks pretty good,no spreading between the rails,if it's just surface rust it's no big deal, you'll be able to clean it up and paint it.
  19. And yours doesn't have 10 rolls of duck tape on the air filter hose..lol
  20. Same way except you turn the ring instead of the bolt.
