  5. First thing I did was throw away those coiled hoses! I cant stand em'! I use these bundled together rubber lines,kinda like a three headed snake.nice neat set-up.................................Mark
  6. I've often wondered what Swifts actual attrition rate is,as far as accidents? I know they have a huge boneyard in Arizona I've been past there a time or two and there are several THOUSAND wrecked trucks and trailers inside!............................................Mark
  7. I agree with Gearhead,quick connects are against the law on tractor/trailer lines for highway use! I use un-coiled rubber lines from Tectran.com they have anything you need in the way of airlines,not cheap,but very well made quality product.............................Mark www.tectran.com

Jim,neat that all those memories are still there after all these years! we may have crossed paths "back in the day" I spent many a day with my Dad at both Port Newark and Port Elizabeth when I was a boy,along with the always exciting Hunts Point and Bronx Terminal markets! As I remember though,the only bananas he hauled either came from Tioga Pier (84) in Philly,Camden or the Port of Wilmington...............................Mark

  16. Just my .02,but that truck looks too far gone to me to restore,unless it had some sentimental/family history probably not worth doing. And like most restorations,you could put upwards of $50K in it,and still end up with something worth $5.............just sayin' Mark
