  2. Thanks for posting those Matt! it's as nice a truck as I thought it was, just seems a shame to let it sit outside now, looks like its starting to deteriorate a little...............................................Mark
  3. I just read about this Ernie, theres a special place in hell for a**holes like this nitwit, and he bragged about his plans beforehand too? un-frickin' believable!......................................Mark

  10. I'm with Freightrain, wouldn't mind having one IF it was the 6.6 400 Pontiac/4-speed. I had a buddy in high school had a nice one,but ended up wrapping around a tree on a rainy night, too much car for a teenager!.............................Mark
  11. I guess Burt Reynolds has hit some hard times financially (go figure) but a read today that one of the original 1977 Trans Ams owned by him, given to him after the movie, went for $480,000 at auction this past weekend! Hard to believe that movie is 35 years old already! 480K is WAY more then the Bandit,Snowman, and Buford T. Justice had wrapped up in car,KW,truck-trailer AND load of Coors in 77' I couldn't get the linky thing to work, but I'm sure somebody can post the article on Yahoo news?......................................................Mark
  12. Matt,i'd like to see some more pictures of that wrecker (Red Arts) if you have them also,i never got to look at it up close as it was always inside..........................................Mark
  13. 3rd vote for Fontaine, all my trucks with one exception have had them, basically bulletproof and trouble free as far as I'm concerned.................................Mark
  14. That's a good one Mike! kinda like one my Grandad used to tell me.......................3 old time truckdrivers are sitting in a bar, discussing who drives and who makes the best truck,so they decide to go outside for a side by side comparison. First guy takes out a bottle of champagne, breaks it over the hood of a new Pete, " I christen thee George Washington, cause you're the first new truck I've driven"!! Second guy does likewise.on a new KW " I christen thee Abraham Lincoln, cause the KW salesman was the first honest guy I ever dealt with"!!!!!! 3rd guy cracks open a can of beer, dumps it on the hood of an R-Model " I christen thee Teddy Roosevelt, cause you are one rough ridin' son of a bitch"!!!.........................................Mark
  15. Stable full? impossible! Macks are like Jell-O theres always room for one more Lol!......................................Mark
  16. Thanks for the tutorial Jim! not much up on my logging equipment terminology Lol!.......didja' ever see that machine that cuts down trees, limbs them, then stacks them all on a trailer it's pulling? a wanna say it was in Sweden,Norway or somewhere like that, think I seen it on the Discovery channel a few years back?.................................Mark
  17. My cousin sent me these pictures of a B-Model sleeper for sale near him,it's on the southwest Virginia Craigslist (he has no affiliation with the seller) just didn't know how to send the linky thing. Asking price is $7500.00 if anyone here is interested,i would be glad to go look at it,take more pictures etc. If I had the cabbage, prolly buy it myself!...............................Mark
  18. Heres a couple more I forgot to post,shows the land clearing a little better,and this machine,a log skidder I think it's called?....................................Mark
  19. Jim,i think they are using these to bring loaded log trailers out of the woods (rough, hilly country) and dropping them up on a cleared area so the "road" trucks can take them where they go? The R-Model I saw was pulling a loaded log trailer out of here when we passed..................Mark
  20. Paul, only see one thing different you should do for U.S. post, address it like this...............................Mark Addie Lynn and sisters P.O. Box 163 Fountain Green , Utah 84623 USA
  21. Great pictures, thanks for posting them! I really enjoy seeing other families trucking pictures from back when.......................................Mark
  22. Nice! you don't need to adopt a new brother do you? Lol! great truck, glad it went to a good home here instead of overseas!.............................................Mark
  23. Home today running some errands, came across these two beasts! They are clearing some land down near my Mom's place, and they were parked next to the road,so I thought I'd check them out. Both 300 powered, the one closest to the road was a 2-stick 6 speed, the other one was an air-shift 6 speed other then that they appeared identical. I imagine they started life as mixers, but still pretty un-usual to see a DMM tractor. Pretty nice R-Model was pulling out as we went past, but too quick to get a picture.......................................Mark
  24. My kinda' Huskiepup! that's a sharp little truck, reminds me of one I used to see up in CT across from the T/A truckstop Millington? I think is the name of the town?............................Mark
  25. Best wishes for a Happy Birthday! and as always, truck safe!..................................Mark
