  1. Had a great time at the show. See folks that I dont see all year at Macungie. Yes the Mack plant tour was shortened, but it`s still nice of them to open the doors and let us pretty much have the run of the place. Went by the Watts tent, got my Forum T shirt. Barry was a bit busy so I made my way back to the show. It was hot, but not unbearable.. Cant wait for Lititz..
  2. Sure was a lot easier when it was just, B, R U DM, MB models etc...
  3. Thats so true. I went with a new driver to take his CDL test in Dallas 10 years ago. I climbed down out of the passenger side of the cab I apologized to the Trooper walking up to the truck to give the test that the AC had gone out on the way to the test site. He gave me a little laugh and said "well, at least you fellas speak english"..
  4. The term was "custom" truck. Thats the niche the CF had.. I believe Mack made all the bodywork and such. The MR was still used with non Mack bodywork, like FDNY`s rescue units..
  5. Hi Mike, Always nice to have another Pennsy guy here... Rich Reinhart
  6. Hey Barry, I`ve been gone for a while, like the new look of the webpage... Rich Reinhart
  7. Thats really cool. Feel free to post more of your work.
  8. I`m just driving out for the day. Only an hours ride...
  9. So who will be at the all Mack show in Lititz?
  10. Cant throw a cat through it.. Now thats funny..... How about putting in a storage lot and cover it with a big tarp until you can make some contacts and find the ole girl a nice place for her makeover?
  11. Thanks for the quick answer guys. I`ll call PENN DOT on Monday to see what the rules are for Pennsy. Your guidance has been most helpful.. Reason I ask is I saw a nice Mack R sitting for sale outside of Shimersvile PA and it had PA Antique tags on it. I may go look into it.
  12. Do you need to have a CDL to drive a Class 8 truck if it`s registered as an antique vehicle? I have heard 2 versions of this and this seems like the perfect place to get the straight answer. Thank folks. Rich
  13. Thanks for the welcome Bulldog. The fact that Barry said that it`s etched in the glass makes it that much more impressive.
  14. Well, I couldnt get moved back to PA in time for the Macungie show. How is the Mack show at Lititz? Rich Reinhart
  15. Hi all, My name is Rich and I`ve been a mack fan since I was 5 riding with my Father in a B model and tank trailer hauling heating oil out of Linden NJ. Plus growing up outside of Allentown PA helped as well. I was truck mechanic for a while working mostly on R Models and CH`s. I`m not lucky enough to own my own classic Mack truck. But I love looking at the ones posted on here. My Macks are 1/87, 1/64 or 1/53 right now. But it`s still a fun hobby.... Rich Reinhart
