  1. I had an overdrive 12 spd in a DM dump with 4.17 rears, had the engine where I could turn 2300 RPM if I wanted, it could bury the 80 MPH speedometer! Terry
  2. Yeah i have seen alot of them used with small cracks there. terry
  3. Biggest problem with them heads are cracks between valve seats and between injector hole and valve seat. terry

  8. looks real solid around that air filter, real bad spot for rust, and above the left cab mount can be another bad spot. terry ran one of them steel dash ones in a dump truck for years.
  9. Don't know if it is short enough, has to be no longer than the original B model pump. It has the shaft length, maybe compare to the b model one. terry

  15. Have to agree about the torque band comment, but that six speed can handle way more torque than that 400 can put out, how about all them high horse V8 engines with the 12 speed, same triple countershaft design. Terry
  16. Served “69” in V.N. Terrible, terrible waste of young men over there, for absolutely nothing! Of course seems that’s the way all our conflicts go lately Terry
  17. Should be a dry liner, i believe the E7 was the start of a wet liner. terry
  18. Has the truck been idleing alot, that will cause slobbering at the exhaust joints. terry
  19. I'd take doing that mack tapered pin over a straight rockwell axle anytime! terry
  20. I was a owner/driver a mack dump for 30 plus years, the wheel dolly was the best investment for pulling duals, nothing to it for one man, and alot easier to align the inner bearing on the spindle, and not hitting new wheel seal. terry
  21. I do believe they are a screw on cap, terry
