  1. Don't ask MHE9 about this subject, he's still waiting on engineering to approve his truck a year later!
  2. Come on pictures! When you have time to put down the tire bar and pick up a camera that is,lol.
  3. Say you had an Etech or aset AI engine, now say you wanted more power with OEM parts. Just for the sake of argument maybe put some 427 injectors, an advanced cam key, a 460xt turbo together with a 355-380 maxicruise ecm........ I'm not saying its wood shattering but hey over 500hp to the ground ain't bad!
  4. Mike there is a company advertised on hot rod magazines website (or used to be) that can re chrome textured parts. Don't know what it would cost but it may be worth it to have some nice shiny spares.
  5. Just me or is that cab/hood the Russian version of a slant hood Brigadier?
  6. Well from everything my friends and others I know talk about, the "new" as in the 2014 and up MP8 trucks have the least issues. All of the newer Mack and Volvo engines have emissions issues if they have excessive idle time. I know the trucks are rated as clean idle but I have a friend with 6 new trucks (2013 and newer) and he has had almost no issues with emissions systems. There are other new trucks in the area with high idle time that are in the shop all the time. I have been told by a Mack insider to go with the MP8 not the MP7 for long term longevity due to wrist pin oiling changes.
  7. Well if we are already there at least there will be a few Americans to get and post pics of the missiles when they launch. You know right before Iran gets wiped off the map by Israel.
  8. Mike I might be wrong but I think PAI had the Superliner 1 headlight rings for same brand new. I still want a pic of all the R's lined up, I know it'll take a lot of real estate and a panoramic lens but you can do it!
  9. "Tis but a flesh wound"
  10. . I had the best luck with Michelin XZY3 425's on the steer, my buddy is running general's in a 385 and loves em.
  11. That's how I pull bushings from a lot of equipment, get the pin out then start Welding inside the bushing all the way around. Most of the time after the second or third pass it will make a pop and you can pull it right out.
  12. The step 12B update helps a lot, if your "dealer" doesn't know about it they aren't a Mack dealer or that guy is new. I found out playing with my 04 427 that if you ease into the throttle then back off and go back into it you'll almost eliminate the smoke limiting de fuel at takeoff because you already show positive manifold pressure. There are some programs out there that will make em run, trouble is getting them to do it as engineering is hard to come off the programs.
  13. They are built with just onnoff but I know it has been put on a three position switch and two relays before. If I remember right it was the front right head and the back left head on low and all four on high. Seems to me like putting it on two heads across from each other would be easier on the crank.
  14. Don't need spares need questions answered.
  15. I need to talk to one of the guys that has the Francis headers, especially if oy got the smaller crossover pipe, pm me and I'll send you my phone #. For all the E9 guys, I hope to have a cheaper manifold replacement ready soon.
  16. Order the vintage electric window kit from Summit Racing or Jegs unless you.really want the stocker, its gonna be much less intrusive than that big motor hanging off the door.
  17. Aight folks here's the deal, I need an E9 block, 4 heads and a flywheel housing....that's it! Ok maybe 4 used head gaskets and a few bolts to hold it all together. I'm trying to get some tubular exhaust mocked up for us E9 guys but would rather do it on a "jig" than my truck. Basically I can use junk parts with big holes in em as long as the exhaust ports and flywheel housing are in the right place.
  18. The next Champ Truck race is at Virginia International Raceway Aug 7-8. Would love to see some BMT support while Mike is whipping up on the Freightliner/Volvo guys.
  19. Headed to St.Louis last week, the dog ran good, the race truck too!
  20. Well Paul, I'm happy on my end, I got one of a kind Flaps in the US,lol.
  21. Fuuuuuuck! thanks for reminding me...... I dont think we can stand anymore of that before we get some new blood in Washington, its gonna be a slippery slope as to whether or not we can fix whats screwed up already!
  22. Go wiht an MP8 and you are golden, the MP7 has a pressed bushing in the riod that aint the greatest but they are pretty darn good engines for 11 liters, the MP8 is a torque monster for a 13 liter, with the active torque management it seems like they pull harder the heavier you load them, the 505hp anyway.
  23. Tim theres a question here that seems to have been missed, how did the new Dog do pulling the load? Is that truck an MP8 or MP10? Horsepower?
  24. No then you'd have a truck a foot taller with a crawl thru cut out aftermarket sleeper that was still heavier and still cost more and wasn't an axle forward. I guess this was too much to ask for BMT members, I'll take it somewhere else I've already gotten feedback from those I mentioned may be watching.
  25. Next race in East St Louis at Gateway Motorsports Park Saturday and Sunday July 18/19. Come on BMT guys, come watch the big CH give the volvos and Freightliner's a drink. If we have enough folks coming we can hang out and make some burgers and dogs and talk trucks in front of a Mack race truck!
