Congrats Tracy & Robert! Yet another chapter on how Old Gus bought people together! Al

I can almost hear the tip-turbine from here! Nice truck! Al
-
What a CLASSIC shot! Nice picture. Al

Is that crossover pipe (intake side) an original? Just asking,I guess I have never really seen the engine room on an H-67 that is turbocharged before. Thanks for posting the pictures. Always liked the H's,also. Al

Classic picture. He looks like he is going to tell you just what kind of day he had! Al

That's when they built bumpers that could stand straightening! Great job. That truck is looking better each time you show us a picture of it! Al

Like the "PIONEER" designation on the ND license plate,Tracy. 1st time I noticed it. How fitting for Gus! Al

Is it a former Ryder or Haliburton truck? Seems they both bought bunches of R-700's. Looks decent. Good luck with it. Al

Like the radiator/cooler arrangement. Very nice,Tracy. Al

You look very happy, but we can't wait to see Grandma's reaction.........Priceless! Al

A "labor of love"is what Cy Cranick (past president of the ATCA) calls it. I believe he's right! Al

I just gave the specs to MACK Dan,they built the truck! LOL! The Oakville plant was known for putting some of the finest BULLDOG's together. I remember stopping by Steffenhagen's and Gene McNulty told me,"your truck is being built today". Can't remember the exact date. He told me earlier that it was shifted to Canadian production. I said, "perfect,my last one was built there and it was a good truck". Clutch longevity reflects directly to a driver that gives a shit,Dan. That is why that truck is still earning you money. I didn't want to let 'er go to just anyone. I can't count how many times I've heard,"seen your old truck today Al,it's still looking good". Thanks,Dan! Al

Just a great tribute to your family,Tracy. We all wish we had such a connection like this to our trucks. Some do,but most have to get the story via the MACK Museum (thank God for that) or hopefully a former owner or driver, that is still with us. Thanks for sharing your story with us. Al

Liked that interior color the best. Yours looks great! Al

Interesting,to say the least. You'll have to get a "boomin'" stereo system in it with speakers in the stacks,or the people will never hear ya comin' down the road! The "Electra-B" has been born, good luck with it! Al
-
Its going to be tough to get the smile off of Grandma's face when she rides in "Gus" again! Al
-
That is a very nice gesture on your part! Very cool that Gus has been in the family that long! Best of luck to you on your restoration! Al

It has a 673, but the valve covers have been off for at least the 8 years I've known the truck. I couldn't get close to open the driverside door. It's loaded with wasp nests. The truck is abandoned along with 5 other cars. No one can figure out who's they are.
I'm thinkin' it should follow you home, since you have shown interest in it! It needs someone with a username like "Coenut" to adopt it! There, done deal.......go get it! Nice F! Al

Like he ^ said! Al

Tough trucks,those DM's!

Well,at least you didn't lose your fender, battery box,and batteries like a good friend of mine did when his right front steer tire decided to expire. It does suck, but at least no one got hurt and relatively little property damage, right? It is a cool truck, though. Enjoy it!
