Rustdog,
I just went thru the same thing with my '58 H63. I changes the electrical system from positive ground to negative ground. I first found a local auto electric shop had the generator & voltage regulator checked out. Found the two end plates mounting hole were out of round and armature had flat spot. luckly they had end plates and armature from another generator. The voltage regulator was sticking, they got me a new one (50amp) with double contacts (came with voltage regulator installation instructions), shows polarization instructions. I also attached series/parallel swith instrcution that show voltage regulator connections. Hope this helps.

I have come across a late 1950s early 1960s 35' Fruehauf moveing van trailer, single axle. This would work well with H63 to haul my 1923 & 1924 AB Macks.

Ther are no screen in quarter window, but they do roll up/down. Neat. Got some work cut out for me.
Thanks for comments.

Well it finally arrived in Altoona on September 20, 2013 at 9:45AM. Markey's trucking delivered the H63 to Sam Grannas's plant in Hollisdayburg. Thanks to Sam, we used his loading dock (as seen in photo) to unload H63. Once unloaded we tranfered H63 to Sam lowboy trailer for final trip to my house in Pinecroff area. On of the first thinks I did was change the mud flaps to Mack . Need to do some rewiring of H63, and get some (have 24.5 rim) tubeless tire have rims.

Thanks, guys. I got hold of Markey Trucking, Mike. He has a truck coming back from West Coast, has to pick up to crawler in Minn., on Monday and will swing by St. Louis and pick H model up onrear of drop deck for $1200.00. I keep us informed on progress.

I was at Watt's show , before going to show I stopped at shop and got a set of MACK mud flaps.

Once I get it home, I plan to redo the wiring and the interior. New air ride seat from garbage truck, low profile, headliner, and paint.

Plan to change mud flaps to Mack bull dog ones, once I get it home.

Looking for help transporting my H63 from St. Louis, MO to Altoona, PA reasonably. The truck is not road worthy, light not connected, rear tires are dry rotted. The truck measures 10 feet high to top of stacks, 20 feet long bumper to rear of frame, 8 feet wide at rear tires, and weights 11000 pounds.
Lowboy or drop deck.
The guy I bought from has been trying to get someone on his end that might becoming east half/empty to haul the truck to Altoona.
Any help!
Thanks,
Tom Gardner
