I have an 85’ E6 350 with a 12sp. I was impressed with how the dynatard worked. Using it while upshitfing, you could leave other trucks in your dust.

We always joke that we should put a toll booth in at the driveway at the yard. Strangers in and out all the time. We should prolly shut the gates but then people may think we have something worth stealing

He told me he has a dedicated weekly run picking up in Wisconsin and delivering all over the mid Atlantic states. P.S. how is the Hendrickson coming along?
Haven’t touched since getting it home essentially. Work is just starting to slow down for the season, but the weekends have been packed.

I think you might be thinking of Ray Sidella. He transports a lot of antique trucks for forum members. He moved my White Road Boss for me earlier this year. He has an orange MH he uses. His username her on the forum is mack mhe9. I think he used to be very active but not so much anymore. He responds to PMs very reliably.
That’s who I was thinking of. Been seeing him going through the the Chicagoland area lately.

The transmission was the latest thing to give out on it. I told him he should try to find an 18 speed to put in it, but he was way ahead of me, he was already in the process. He sent us a wedding gift too-
He sent some other stuff too, but this caught my attention more. He asked Zina for our address and she wouldn't tell him, saying "you don't have to send us anything". So he asked me, so he could "send a Christmas card" he said. So I sent it to him, not knowing he had already asked her- until he told me. He said "she wouldn't tell me, but I knew you would be just dumb enough to do it".
I've seen Vinnie at Macungie a couple of times, last time he bought a fuel tank at the flea market there. I don't remember if that was last year or the year before last now. He has definitely grown up!
Is his MH orange in color?

I’m in need of the top dash panel above the gauge cluster and also the dash piece the gauge cluster sits in. Do you happen to have any Grey dash parts ?
I’m looking for the same. Dealer says it’s available, but on back order.

Companies got into the insurance business during WWII due to the wage freezes imposed by government. Since they couldn't give employees raises, they started offering benefits. In other words, government created this mess...and they've been making it worse ever since. When I bought my truck, I had a BC/BS policy that cost me $58/month. $1750 deductible, then 80/20 split up to $4750 max out-of-pocket per year. $5M lifetime cap. Then comes the unaffordable care act. Couple years later, it was over $300/month, I was about to get married, and I wouldn't be able to add my wife or eventual kids to the policy without losing my "grandfathered" status. So, I dropped it. Under Obamacare, I could've bought a policy for my wife & me for $1000/month. $6000 deductible IF you were "in network" (which there weren't any providers in our area) or else it was a $12,000 deductible. In network was 80/20...but we'd be 50/50 out of network. In other words, we were better off without insurance, paying out-of-pocket for everything, and hoping nothing major happened.
Healthcare doesn't HAVE to be expensive. It IS expensive because the consumer typically isn't the one paying the bill. When you aren't the one paying for the service, you couldn't care less how much it costs. The one paying the bill isn't the one receiving the service, so they couldn't care less how crappy the service might be. So, you end up with really really expensive, but crappy, service. But at least you can get service. Now go to one of the "single payer" countries where the consumer isn't paying & the payer isn't consuming...but the provider has no choice but to accept the crappy pay from the single provider if he wants to work...and since the person paying doesn't care if the service sucks, there is no incentive to do anything beyond the bare minimum for the crap pay. So, as a consumer you wait 6 months for an appointment, and by then you've either kicked it or it's kicked you. At least your health insurance wasn't tied to your employment, though, right?
Preach We don’t have “health” insurance, we have health maintenance plans that are crazy expensive either you use them or not

E7 ? What's it use as an intercooler ? I'm a little envious of Dad by the way.
Uses the original radiator placement for the inter-cooler. Shutters are for looks and the actual radiator is behind the original one. I’m working on one of my IH’s today. I can try to remember to grab a pic

A “new” addition to the fleet @storkmack?
We picked it up from a contractor we work with a couple years ago. Had a miss in the motor and a syncro out in the trans. Pump, injectors, turbo took care of the motor and a Mack 18sp out a wreck. New trunuion a couple weeks ago. Good for another 30 years. Gotta watch the pyro climbing hills because she will warm up.

interesting.
when ordering the two new trucks, we wanted to try disc brakes and dealer told us to stick with drum brakes because the disc did not hold up to heavy construction use.
We do a mix of work, and have been specing disc brakes since 2015 on all of our new equipment.

Our disc brakes last 3-4 times longer than the drum brakes

1976 R700 at Indiana auction
in Trucks for Sale
Posted
Wished I had seen this a day earlier. Not an RS. The square fuel tanks are period correct to a regular RModel. A fair amount of V-8 trucks from that era were repowered with 6 cyl Mack power. Over all looks a like a fun truck. Can’t believe it’s an in person only auction.
