  1. WE bought a new one for our F model. It was still available 2 years ago. It's the same grille for all the value liners/ westerns. I think it was $500.00 Brad PS>>> I have one that some chromed, but the chrome is peeling, you could have it rechromed....
  2. We have an 89' RB tractor. Great truck, STRONG running 300, 6 sp. trans, 3 leaf rear susp. Truck gets around really good. We call it the ugly R model. I will try to post pictures of some time. Brad
  3. Check out my gallery for the pictures of our west coast F model. Brad
  4. Bollweevil...You sum it up best! The way I see it, I hope this squeezes out all the guys that work to cheap. In the long run ,if you survive, you will have better rates and more work. thanks, Brad
  5. PJ, Did you paint these trucks your self? They look good! I have a few things that I want to do to my RD this winter. I want to put an auxilary heater on the floor to keep my feet warm. When It gets under 20 degrees, it just seems like the floor never gets warm. The heat from the waist up will drive you out. I am also looking at putting a steering column out of a Granite into it. I think it would give you more knee room than the stock one. Keep the pictures coming. Brad
  6. Hey PJ....Are you upgrading trucks for your self. Looks good so far. Hope you guys are keeping "Last Call" out of the snow. Brad Stark
  7. I have had one of each. Only thing you really noticed was the road speed. Brad
  8. There is going to be a Truck and Tractor show this weekend oct. 13- 14. You can come one day or both. It does cost some $ to get your truck or tractor in, but all the money goes to the Mchnery county food bank. I will try to get some more info up this week. Thanks, Brad
  9. We have a 97' e-7 400 that does the same... Since new! We have taken it in a few times and it is fine for awhile then goes right back to it's old ways. Knock on wood....never have done anything to that motor except for rod and main bearings. What part of the country are you in? Thanks, brad
  10. I just do not know what to say to this..... A granite cab is really no different from a Vision cab, besides the dash they are not that much different from a CH cab. On the newer ones a Pinicle and a Granite are the same. I drive a 94' RD everyday and I happen to think it is very comfortable. It has mack air ride cab and suspenion, and also has a/c. I installed a nice stereo system. The truck is a pleasure to drive. I drove one of our 05' Granites for a day and it is a nice truck, just not any nicer than my RD. I guess what I want to say is this....Did you think all of us were out there sitting on a wooden box, driving thermodynes with a triplex , no a/c and chain drive.....and only were saved when Mack came out with the Granite?? If all you want to pay attention to are the Granites and newer, you are missing out on some of the best trucks ever made. Thanks, Brad
  11. I do not know if this is a non existent part or not, but I remember Carrey Transit had a whole slug of day cab R models at Chicago Mack in the early 90's. I think they were 87- 88 year models. Most of them had big passenger seats. The passenger seat came almost all the way to the driver's seat. Of course the truck my Dad bought was one with out a passenger seat. I would really like one now for the ocasional nap, and so I can take both of my sons along once in awhile. Thanks, Brad
  12. I saw one today. Steel tanks and dayton wheels. Brad
  13. I don't think the hood is long enough to a B-75. Brad
  14. H K.... I am not saying that at ALL!!! If a guy wants a one of a kind head turner, He can't buy it. If you want that type of truck you have to build it. Let's face it, if you are going to truck to earn money, you are not going to do it with a B powered by a thermodyne and a duplex. At least not in today's climate. Is that truck on that show practical for you and I who work in the construction field?? NO, not by a long shot. But, if you took the sleeper off shortened it up, and gave it a fair amount of ground clearence, I would give it a whirl. Don't get me wrong, I dislike most of the stuff those guys turn out. I still watch to get a laugh. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings or rain on your career. Brad Ps.. H K .... I am starting to agree with you on the Mack/ Volvo relationship , we can discuss later.
  15. It still has Class. It now has a level of Class you can not buy today. Any one can drive a W 900 or a 379, but not just any one can run a truck like that. You can not buy it on any street corner, hence it is cool. Stock restorations are O K, if all you ever intend to do is look at it. If you want to run it, and run with the big dogs, you have to modernize it. I guess if you don't actual work a truck to put bread and butter on your table, you just don't understand. Brad
  16. Thanks for posting those videos Trent. It really sucks that we got rained out last night. I did call up there about 1:00 that afternoon and the l;ady said they had no intentions of canceling, but when she called me back they were in the middle of a thunderstorm. I will keep my ears open about some more pulls. Watching the video really makes me want to get back out there with those trucks. The BIG rumor around here is that we stuffed a V-8 into that truck, mainly because no one can believe that a 237 did that. Brad
  17. I have a 94' RD690, and it had an EM7 300. It can from the factory witha fuller 9 speed which we later changed to a fuller 13
  18. A lot of guys like them for working with skid loaders because it's much easier to load. You could put side boards on it in a cinch, just to hide the pile of gravel from the law. Brad
  19. Trent, I hope guys come out to Belvidere. We will be there with a 73' R model. We put a turbo off of a 300 on it. We have to get the pump tweaked and we are working on an intercooler, but at this point we are not having much luck. The pulls in Belvidere will be on august 9 at the Boone county fairgrounds. You will want to be there around 6 at the latest and you may not pull till 9 or 10. Hope to see you guys there. Brad
  20. Trent, How did you do pulling? Who's old R model? Brad
  21. I would like to see some pictures of your visor on the superliner if you have some. Thanks, Brad
