I was going to mention that 765 was in your neighborhood not so long ago. It resides in New Haven, IN which is my neighborhood. When we had our freight terminal in Ft Wayne, during excursion season, it would regularly run right past our front door as the office of our building faced the tracks and was only about 120' from them & the Lumbard St crossing was just 300-350 feet away. You could feel her before you heard her then you could smell her for quite sometime after she was gone!

I forwarded the pics & post to Mike last night. This was his response: "Im pretty sure Bill Smith did the restoration, there was a very similar truck that was owned and restored by Tom Pierce from MI,but I really don't think this is it,but I could be wrong. Bill Smith's collection had been sold off for 10 years or so,when this G75 and a restored KW were found hidden in a terminal building. Ken Crouse and his now late brother George,bought them,and Ken resold this one,his brother donated the KW along with some of his other trucks to ATHS in his will." Mike's health still has him down somewhat but his spirits are good. He no longer has an actual computer so he doesn't get on this site much at all as he cannot log onto here with his tablet. He does post on several Mack & ATHS related FB pages however. On FB he is Mike Harbison Sr as Mikey is also on FB as Mike Harbison. I noticed last night that this "account" has made (at least) one more post that will get people to innocently respond. My guess is that it's a spammer and the easiest way to find accounts to duplicate is to get the victim to come to you. By people responding to his posts he can just go down the thread and look at profiles and go from there. I'm not in IT nor am I very tech savvy but that's just my opinion.

Mike doesn't get on this page very often anymore because of computer issues. He is on the BMT FB page though.

It's a diesel. I read the info card on it but all I remember is that it's a 1000GPM pump & 1000 gal tank and that it is a 1981 model and is still in active service @ Morning Sun, IA.

My Dad & I made a Smokey & the Bandit like trip out to Iowa for Mike's benefit. A very nice turnout of trucks & people. We got to spend some time talking with Mike, Wendy & Mikey but just couldn't hang out as long as we would have liked to. I haven't heard any numbers yet but hope to hear from Mikey in the next few days. Dad & I took a few pictures but many of these were shared on FB.

I had about a 10 minute phone conversation with Mike today. He's really down, his cancer is back they are treating it and some other issues. He really sounds weak. One can tell that he just wants to be working & driving but that's not to be right now. I told him that some here had asked about him and said he just doesn't get on here like he used to because he works from a tablet now instead of a computer and he has a hellavu time getting the site to cooperate with him. I told him that I am going to do all in my power to get over to the show & auction. If any of you would like to help out or send anything over for the auction reach out to Mikey or PM me here & I will get you in touch with him. I do know that there is at least one contribution coming from down under and that is greatly appreciated. Mike could really use all the help he can get at this point. He was a staple here back in the early 2000's. Back then we had a chat room here & at ATHS and there was 20 some of us regulars who were on line chatting nearly every week night and he was right in the mix nightly.

No problem, I'll probably be at work anyway. There is a small construction zone between 30 & Churubusco on 33. It's just a couple miles north of 30. You have to do a little zig, a zag and then another zig. Just be aware of it, traffic moves through it good. At night when I go through it I slow down to about 50ish....

Any interest in driving over there? I'm kicking around the idea of heading over the evening before, grab a room around Davenport and heading down in the a.m. then driving back in the evening. Meet at my place & take my Chevy! If I get the roof fixed on my camper before that we can drag it over and camp in his front yard!

I don't know what's up with Mike, I just text him but Mikey (Mike's son) has this going on. As I hear more I'll update unless any of you have been in touch with him. The last time I visited with Mike he still had the 4X4 UPS Ultraliner at his place...

I don't know but I believe at some point in time I was in a conversation about it and I believe it's a 350 but I don't recall any other info.

Oh, and the mutual driving friend, Bruce, runs a IHC 4300 as a daily worker. This was from the Auburn ATHS show in 2005 but it still looks just as nice.

I've known this dog for more than two decades. He travels the same roads I do but I have only talked to Larry one time in all these years. I've never had a camera ready when I see it and usually it's when we're going opposite directions on a two lane someplace but via a mutual driving friend I finally have picture of this daily working Superliner.

I wonder if it started out life as a GMC Motorhome...

I've popped in from out in the yard twice today to find my email inbox filled with reports from BMT. I think I have gotten all of the alias' banned that have hit so far. If they keep coming then it's going to be something that is beyond my knowledge of the interweb to fix. I have cleared, I believe, 48 reports this afternoon.

First I got it in my right big toe in my mid 20's. Put me on crutches. Had to build a "fort" around my foot with pillows because even a bed sheet touching it caused the most incredible pain. I had about 3 major flare-ups there. then about 7 years ago I got it in my left ankle, crutches again now I fight with it in both big toes & both ankles. Allopurinol on a daily basis and I keep a bottle of Indocin in the bathroom cabinet incase of a flare-up. The Indocin has always knocked the crap out of it rapidly for me. I try to drink a glass of cranberry juice every day. Basically now if I feel THAT ache I pop 3 Indocin right away and just really pay attention to it and take some Indocin as needed but usually, as long as I don't screw around with it, the Indocin stops it quickly.

I remember it. I was 12. Those were the days before everyone had a 4X4 and a snow blower. We lived on a 3 block long dead end street. All the neighbors pitched in and we had ourselves dug out to the "traveled rd" on the 2nd day but it was another day before the city got that road opened up. The blizzard was the worst single storm of my lifetime to date. However the winter of 81/82 was terrible for Fort Wayne as we got so much snow over the winter the city trucked it to parks near our 3 different rivers then when it all began melting... the city was flooded. I believe 1/3rd of Ft Wayne, IN went under water. I was a sophomore in h.s. and city schools were closed so the students could fill and place sandbags we did this for days, non-stop. President Reagan flew in and even tossed a few sand bags. One of the news agencies deemed Ft Wayne as "the city that saved itself".

A different thought occurred to me Saturday evening while chatting with my neighbors. If Biden stays in office for two years & 1 day and is then removed and Harris is sworn in as POTUS she can then serve out the balance of the Biden term and run two more times and considering what we seen in the 2020 election it isn't hard for me to believe that she could be "elected" to two terms giving her 10 years in the White House.
