  1. Barry, keep fighting! I was off the site for a couple of days and missed a great lot. All that seems to me as a bullshit. Let us know - what a copyright product is itself? Doesn't it need a registry of its unique individual properties? I understand "Mack trucks" is the registred trademark. But if you want to registry any trademark you need to go through special procedures including identification of doesn't this mark copy any other one or doesn't it too simple to be registried and protected. For example you can not registry just a circle or letter "A". I can understand about author's property about some art subject as a big painitng or sculpture although don't shure about need of registry again. But simple photo shot of a common piece of sorround!... I think there is the same way about picturing other guy's stuff. On truck shows etc. If you using commercial any objects those contein registred trademarks - that's wrong. If anything else - feel free!
  2. The details are really sad. I thing you are on the right way. Shure it's not easy to do it but it's the only way to fix finghs in their correct positions and a chance for a grandson to avoid more serious issues in the future. With no guarantee of corse. Maybe all that would free you from some other potential disasters in the future. Glad to know the stuff was found out in a short time.
  3. O-ho! Looks good. Hope you looked well over original RW's radiator during the work.
  4. Im shure she's a money sucker. Although if she's not a bitch.
  5. Wonder how it would work about BMT. Could you get "like" option pressing both bottoms?
  6. Looks awesome, great truck! What should you do when a warm time come? Continue on the tanks and wheel hubs or start up working about the new toy? I bet that was the last thing you got in mind bying this green giant!
  7. Nice find, congratulations! And let the friends to think anything they like to.
  8. H-models are awesome, it would be very nice to find out any traces of that one.
  9. Great U-boat pictures, thank you! I still have not any documental facts about how many NR's were supplied to Russia. And see no chances fo find it out in Russian sources. The facts I have are that my NR (the only one Russian known in existance) left the factory on January 19. 1945 (Mack museum) and there were both single and double rear wheeled NR's of service in Russia, all with open cabs. Interesting that the chassis as it came to me had the rear hubs for single 20' wheels but with a late serial number. It was probably assembling mistake, 2 NR's were supplied in 5 packs. Or maybe it was assembled from some rest components and parts around the end of the war in Europe.
  10. Glad it worked out for you about the house.
  11. Sorry to hear. Were those hectares of farming land?
  12. These rears look not Timken but Mack L-model and early series B. Do they have propeller shafts with flanges for bolting together? They might have.
  13. She looks like needing a kick-stand. Everything else is good excepting the bottle. There are two of gone now on my count.
  14. She posed with the truck of cource but everything else looks very real.
  15. Here's the link to the web side you want to see so much. http://www.commercialtrucktrader.com/find/dealers/Industrial-Truck-&-Equipment-Sales/2929682
  16. The main reason of invention of open cabs was saving of a shipping space. Because all the trucks vent overseas under Lend-lease. If we speak about the way that Mack used about military orders there were N-series models those were all clear military. Plus to it Mack interrupted commercial trucks production from 1942 until 1944. As about other manufacturers many of them also produced open cabs and all wheel drive. For example great numbered GMC's. Or Studebacker US-6 that was 6x6 tactical vehicle. There was military Mack EH (as above) for sale in Australia some weeks ago.
  17. Kerosene is not good about cetane index although it works. Gesoline is extremely bad for diesel because of it's detonation character. As i read in a book there are different kinds of kero and the aviation kerosene (must read jet fuel) is not allowed for diesel engines. There is an arctik kind of diesel fuel in Russia (not avail. in the region I live) that is up to -60 Celsias. People say it's clear kerosene. As about here there are winter and commen fuels for sale. When temp. comes below water freezing (0 C) the winter one must be at stations. So we could have troubles tanking one day and driven some days later when colder time comes. Plus to it nobody might shure about how a fuel is good. So we usually apply some additives. And the most working one is "Hi gear" made in USA (?) There are also different kinds of electric fuel filter heaters those helpful. My car has a heater combined into cooling system so I usually have no issues. Added some antigell just once this winter.
  18. My country's regulations require amber both sides because it's a color for all front and rear turn lights. When I asked on Watt's a guy told me there are original double amber R-model lights (round) for Australian market. Although I haven't ended up with that guy but ordered turn lights from Watt's online shop. So they are amber with red now. Will tell heart-breaking story to road police in the future or just try to order 2 spare amber lenses.
  19. Welcome on here, we're all in love for Mack trucks
