  1. Nice wievs of wild enviroment, can't see something like that in the big city area.
  2. Great looking photos, I like the style of them and the content is perfect! I don't mean the tank of course although it looks interesting. Wish you to be happy with the family.
  3. Nice clean truck! Congrats on getting it. Wheel base looks leally long although Mhe9's flatbed looks it can contein it with a base of twice longer!
  4. Do I understand right that most W71's were Cummins powered? Were there any with Mack? Maybe 707's?
  5. Yea, really, we all like pictures here, especially AC Bulldogs. Make this post popular and you'll get all the info you want.
  6. "Watch that child" - once I was about 20 I drove my BMW-320 in the city and came to a T-cross going to run left. I didn't want to make a full stop to cross the intersection fast. But when I looked left I saw a DM mixer of the same yellow color as on the picture. Of course I pressed my brakes immediately. Every time I drive that point I remembert that day. Just know, you may run a couple of monthes around the city here and see no one DM or any other dogged truck.
  7. Tim, like to see Vermont enviroment and so many pieces of nice looking stuff. Going to get out of likes
  8. She's really sad because she seats on a cold stone. Girls like to speak that they have their health issues from men though. Tom, this time you met some girls with cars those have Russian plates on. Wonder how did they run to the States, or maybe just did keep the plates with in a plane? And wonder how fast they get their cars out seeing red KW heading to them with full revs. Yellow Datsun looks nice, I enjoy it no one bit less than Mustang!
  9. Welcome! I see American Industrial kits are popular. Wish you progress on your roll off project and all others. Vlad.
  10. Looks as nice as your RW. They both are well pedigreed!
  11. Glad to hear, have a double fun! I worried a bit you may loose the interest to B. Hope you will not.
  12. Thank you for posting, Tim. I like to see some woods, smoke from the pipe and some strange alchemical equipement Hope the syrup was tasty.
  13. Just start to sand and you will see. On my way I worked with "wooden" biggest grade paper (it was on a cloth though) for about 20 minutes on two hands area. Had nothing good to continue with less grade. So asked to machine them and got it done. There was nearly 17 mm thikness at all and the only 1 was stealed. So I don't worry. But the wheels were not being polished, protected and maybe just washed for more that 15 years. 84Superdog, the tank looks mmm... very nice! Wonder what I would get of my old poor aluminium stuff. Have half a meter of snow around the truck still.
  14. Happy birthday! Have a great one and the evening!
  15. Oh... Glad to see it's far from home. Protect me from collecting unfinished projects. A bit. Looks very nice!
  16. Not shure you'd go well with discs. They are good on flat surfaces and with low revs. Be careful. I also worry too much applying any acid. Mine had deep corrosion when I looked 'em up close. I mean max.close. I had to cut off no less than 1 mm of surface with a big lathe. Than sand them hard with 240 on a wooden block to flat waves. It took 2 working days for each one. After 240 I made 600, 1000 and 2000 wet during 1-1.5 houres and polished with just a cloth by hand in half an hour. Of cource I tried soft disc with green agent for a first but got black stains where I touched it. Needed too slow revs. So continued with a piece of leather and got a bunch of little scratches. Ended up with chrome polish and clean cloth. And again, when I look them over up close I can see little black traces inside aluminium. Wonder what acid would do if it penetrates into
  17. There is a very nice book by the author of Bart Vanderveen, called "The record of military Macks in the services and beyond". I'm too lucky to have it. Here's a page 66.
