  1. http://dcaptain.com/beaconraylights.html The light is a Federal Signal product. Contact the guy at the link above. He is a good guy who has gone through a lot of effort to research and reproduce parts to restore the light. He also sells restored lights. The light you have posted has an optional piece below the skirt for mounting on a pole. This piece will be the hardest to locate in my opinion but it does show up on eBay. Good of luck with your project. Don
  2. Good luck Paul, I thought you left Long Island to get away from people like this
  3. I seem to recall needing a clip similar to the wire one. I think I went to the local hardware store and found one that was suitable. Good luck with your search. Don
  4. That truck would be perfect for Yocum Creek Fire Dept located in southeast Kentucky. Thier pumpers are all Mack CF’s and MC’s. They believe they have the best fleet around and I agree.
  5. Hello, the cab looks really good. Sorry to hear about the stone chip. I can’t believe how much progress you have made. Kind of makes me feel like I’m moving at a snails pace. Oh well Rome was not built in one day. Take care, Don
  6. I hate to be the one to break the bad news to you but you have no future in the interior design of truck interiors. What you have done there makes way to much sense. Keep up the good work. 👍 🚛. Looks awesome
  7. Looks like your son is having a blast. But who wouldn’t be smiling sitting in the jump seat of a C model fire engine. I hope he continues to enjoy the hobby with you. 🚒👍
  8. After the rain stopped it turned out to be a great day. I really enjoyed seeing my friends and making some new ones.
  9. I've had good a good experience with Belardinelli in Bethel also.
  10. Those trucks were beautiful. The owner was a nice guy.
  11. Sorry to hear the sad result of your search.
  12. Thanks for the link a lot of cool photos. Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like the 1974 engine with the addition of the enclosed cab and the simulators on the wheels
  13. Thanks Vlad they are all beautiful. I particularly like the ZIS ladder truck and the six wheel experimental truck that's looks like a boat.
  14. It's the sign that greets travelers to Cobar on the Barrier Highway. photographer not known
  15. My suggestion is convert the rig to drum brakes. The rear end in your truck was made for many years and the parts to do the conversion should be readily available. Good luck, . Don
  16. Very nice, I like how the drive train is set up. Enjoy
  17. All my C models have hydraulic power steering. The pump is run off the back of the air compressor. My oldest C model is a 1961 and the newest is a 1967. Take care, Don
  18. Joe that that truck has, should have, Yocum Creek written all over it. It would be a great addition to your fleet and the best tanker in the Evarts area based on reliability and the amount of water it carries. I think you need to push David into having the county find some money. Just my opinion, Don
  19. Hello Paul, The paint job looks awesome congratulations on a job well done. Mal and Katherine traveling so far to help you with Mrs Mack says a lot about the type of good people you are. Enjoy Mrs Mack. So how does Mal feel about being a world famous painter. Take care, Don
  20. Hello Paul, . Thanks for documenting your project for us. It is quite an undertaking. As 85snowdog has said this beats anything that's on television. I know that as I'm getting ready to go to sleep your hard at work on the next episode. I just have one question. How is it Mal is so relaxed and you seem so stressed. In all seriousness you are making a difficult job look fairly easy. Keep up the good work. Don
  21. Hello, can you post a photo of the rig. There are a lot of guys out there that take photos and post them on the Internet for our viewing pleasur. You can also contact the Mack Museum to get a copy of the original build sheet which would include what was installed when new. Stupid question but there are no photos of the rig in its original configuration in the station. Most likley was a Federal Beacon Ray or Dietz 211.
  22. Congratulations on accomplishing your goal and ahead of schedule. It has been enjoyable to watch from beginning to end. Don
  23. Hello Dave, . I was afraid that this day would be coming soon. Thank you for sharing your Mack fire apparatus photos. Checking out your posts has become a big part of my day. Happy hunting! Don 🚒
