  1. What we do to check Engine Brake in a ruff way

    <1> Get truck temp upto operating temp ( go for a drive )

    <2> Use the EB to get the oil circulatin

    <3> Put cog box in gear U normally start off in (for us 5th)

    <4> Drive flat out in th@ take off gear (5th) upto the gov speed 2000rpm

    <5> back off to bring on engine brake n see how much it pulls U up

    the higher the gear the less retardation or ruffly much the same as pulling power to increase revs

  2. Witha 'S' cam brake 

    <1> build up maximum air 120psi

    <2> Realease parking brake and @ the same time loosen off the can mounting bolts (may have to apply parking break again n build up to 120psi and release parking break again & keep undo n the mount n bolts then apply parking break and remove clevis pin, remove hoses n all should B clear to put in the scrap bin

    @ times they R more trouble than wot they B worth .................. go buy a new one & U wont have sleepless nights

     lotsa new trucks are gunna run out of ad Blue fuel additive to prevent pollution etc

    spose to be only a few weeks left of supply

  4. Compared to a KW Screemer n 18 speed RR 

    the mack coolpower maxidyne with twin stx as a 6 speed twaz the nex best thing to an Auto

    as U did half the cog selction than a screemer n RR

    the 6 speed U pulled the lever straight thru with dynatard to kill revs
