  1. Saw the finished radiator. Looked good. Don't have a pyrometer. Puff eliminator is disconnected. Really think fuel is turned up too much. Smokes alot on gear shifts. Starts to heat up as soon as you start pulling a grade. I've had the top of the governor off. Adjusted that fuel setting down a couple of flats on the nuts. I just can't remember anymore fuel adjustment on the governor.
  2. I'm a new member. Worked for a Mack dealership in the 80's. Bought a 87 R model and restored it. Been hauling logs with it. Started to run hot as summer started. Around 215 on a pull. Warning buzzer comes on at 210. Had radiator rodded out, changed fan clutch, replaced thermostat, removed oil cooler and cleaned it, removed water pump and inspected it. Still running hot. It's got fuel turned to it. Runs 24 psi on boost. Also pressure checked air to air. Checked fine. Can someone think of anything else to check. Thanks Nick
