20 inch tube type converts to 22.5 tubeless
22 inch tube type converts to 24.5 tubeless
The 22.5 rims are available new.. 24.5 might be a little harder to find?? You can put some wanted ads out to find used ones.. Storage trailer companys might have some used left.. container chassis shops would also have them.
24.5 tubeless dayton rims are available new. Purchased 6 for my truck 18 months ago. Tire shop I used had them in 4 days.

Simply put, hearing this is extremely frustrating. I've been hearing and seeing this in my area too much anymore. Fortunately the owner "made good" for the work that wasn't done. But unfortunately it's the sloppy work that was done that you still need to pay for, and get done again. Good luck with the next, and hopefully more competent shop.

Actually I did some digging last night on that bearing and it comes up as a VERY popular size. Common to Case, Deere, Pete, and a Bunch of others.

You're very welcome. And yes, Mack still uses a similar arrangement for a flexible driveshaft on the longer wheelbase trucks. I've only seen the driveshaft before install but I think it telescopes to allow for movement of the axles. But I know I've seen something similar albeit uncommon. Good luck on the parts search.

The 18472 seal number in your pic comes up as a good number online but, will the dims match? Not sure.

Honestly it sounds like something that is still used in new production. Any pics?

A small trailer is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Something that I can throw my 26 chevy on, and head to a show. Or throw a tractor on and head to a show. My concern with a tandem trailer is the tire scuffing while turning. The shows around here are in tighter areas so alot of hard turns.
If this trailer is set with a 60" pin, could it have been used with a dolly?
One thing that confuses me is that he said they pulled it with a tandem Pete with a sliding 5th wheel all the way back. I just can't see that with a 60" pin distance. 60" won't even work with my single axle B.
But yeah, I think greed set in on this one.

To possibly ask the obvious question, but did you check for voltage at your trailer cord receptacle on the truck? Possibly a bad trailer cord.

Drivers seat or passenger bench?
My drivers seat mount was round tubing, so not sure what was factory in these trucks?
These were on the driver side.
Putting a suspension seat on the passenger side now so I would like another set.

Prepared steel near me is 7.50 per hundred. Still nowhere close. If it wasn't 2.5 hours from me I'd go and see it. Just to confirm that it won't work. Still looking for something similar if anyone knows of something.

Just putting this out there. Sorry if this isn't allowed. Delete if necessary. Found this nice Schertzer single axle trailer in Jersey. Its the exact kind of trailer I'm looking for and would be great behind a B. Listed on Facebook. Contacted the guy and asked if the price was flexible($3500). He said it wasn't, and that he was raising the price. Now $5500. He's not flexible because he can get more in scrap.
I was in contact with him and asked about the pin to beam distance, and it measures 60". It's too short to work with my truck, but I have a feeling that the measurement isn't correct.
But anyway if anyone is interested I can give you the guy's info.

🤔 looks like a muffler in the front of that truck. Must be some tanker of some sort ? Don't remember ever seeing anyone restore something like that. Look'n great though 😍
I wondered the same thing. Airport refueling truck?

Where are you located? There's an mb400 in a junkyard near me that still has the motor.

1985 build date, so likely just a replacement B model tank. I'm not familiar with any other model that used that style of tank. Sorry. Hope someone else has some input.
It's not the same as a B tank. It needs the newer style j brackets. B tanks are about maybe 2 inches shorter height wise. It looks very similar to an older R or DM tank but the larger DS tanks on the DM had the double step.

The passenger side was 40 gal, the drivers was 50 gal. since there was no stack bracket in the way.
This was square tanks, not sure about round tanks.
Yep, the tank I have is 40 gal usable and 45 gal total, with the part number I stated. I would like to find out what model trucks used this tank so I know what model I need to get the larger tank from.

I'm looking to put the 2nd tank back on the passenger side of my B. The tank that is on the driver side would belong on the passenger side, but I'd like to match the tank I have to a larger tank for the driver side.
Can anyone tell me what series Mack used a 2MB 4814R P2 tank.
Thanks everyone!

Junky trailer with title
in Parts Wanted

Looking for a parts, or junked out single axle pup trailer (28ish footer) that still has a transferable title and data plate. Closer to PA the better. Open also to an orphan title.
