  1. I'd be interested in the lowboy but I'm in eastern PA.
  2. I purchased 6 new Dayton rims from my local tire shop 20 miles from allentown. There is a tire shop in allentown on Carlisle st over by the old NS rail yard that has, or had used ones. I can get a number if you can't find it.
  3. I have an extra steel top that I'd be willing to trade for a bottom. But I see you're on the opposite coast.
  4. Anybody know if this truck will be at Macungie this year. I'm planning my first visit and it sure would be nice to see!
  5. Auction is by ken Geyer real estate on 6-12-2022 in bechtelsville pa. Says 6 speed transmission, air slide 5th, double frame, camelback. I'm not associated with this auction in any way. Just passing the info along. I'm also offering to drive the truck to my location if you cannot pick it up on their pickup time.
  6. Mack Macungie plant will not be hosting the open house this year again either. So I'm going to say at least another year. Volunteers are still filling serial number request inquiries though.
  7. For anyone who is wondering, I was just in contact with Doug on the original post. The trailer has been gone "for a number of years." If you have something like this for sale on the east coast, I may be interested. Thanks.
  8. Yeah, pretty sure it was converted when the S/P switch was removed. Like I said, there was a lot of things changed on the truck, the spike was disconnected when I got it and was just blowing air the maxis weren't hooked up correctly, etc. I've had it on the road about a year and have been changing mostly cosmetic things now.
  9. Yeah, it does start really good the way it is. Probably helps that the negative goes right to the starter ground. I have welding cable to make longer battery cables. And it sounds like tanks are lined up too.
  10. Thanks for the responses. The tank that I have on there now is a 40 and it's 27" long. I won't be doing dual stacks and the battery box will stay on the P/S. Yes, I'm running a 12v starter with 2, 12v batteries in parallel. Something happened to this truck in its lifetime, on the driver side. I figured this awhile ago, but looking today, the fuel tank brackets are different from right side and left. There's also a spot below the driver door that's bent under. You can kinda see it in the pic. I'm guessing they took the P/S tank and moved it to the driver, and put the battery box in its place. Looks goofy and I'm changing it back........hopefully. If I find a tank.
  11. This summer I'm hoping to change the location of my battery box if I can ever find a 2nd fuel tank. Im looking for some detail on how the battery cables should be routed when they come out of the battery box. Im thinking they go under the frame rail and mount to the inside. Oh, and if anyone has a 70 gal? driver side square steel tank that matches or is similar to the one in the picture let me know. I think it may be similar to an R tank but not sure. Thanks!
  12. Looking to purchase a driver side (70gal?) fuel tank to match the passenger side (45gal?) that I have. Its the square steel tank that I think was sold as a replacement. (possibly Tidewater Mack?) The tank is very similar to an R tank from what I can tell. I would also be interested in hearing if you have a pair of original square steel tanks from a B.
  13. In the 4th and 5th pic with the D/S fender, are you using lead filler, or is that just from massaging the fender back to shape? BTW, beautiful job so far!
  14. Would really like to trade (even up or plus cash from me) these books for a B61 parts manual. Reprint or shop worn original is fine. If you want to purchase, make an offer. Would also be interested in purchasing a B61 parts manual.
  15. Anybody want to work a trade on a B-61 parts manual for this B-65 service manual?
  16. I'm located 10 miles from Central Spring in Tamaqua Pa. (570) 386-4195 If they cant ship I'd be willing to do the pickup and packing or bolt to a pallet and take to the Fastenal in my town. And as far as I know, they make springs in house.
  17. Does anyone have any photos of the B Macks that this brewery ran in their fleet? I found pics of the older BX models and their E models, but I'm specifically looking for a photo of a B. I know First Gear made a diecast model of the truck and trailer but I would like to know if the lettering is accurate on the tractor. Thanks in advance!
  18. Not sure exactly what this plate fits. Broken treadle mount was Mack. No rust through on the floorboard and it has the cage nuts. Dusty from sitting. Not sure its even worth saving but I figured Id give it a chance.
  19. Well, 3 good things come out of it if he found a buyer. 1. Somebody gets a beautiful new mixer to add to their collection. 2. Hes in a better position to buy the tractor he wanted. 3. A beautiful mixer is saved, as it was delivered to the customer.
