  1. So with this valve the air tank is filled through the valve?
  2. It never had maxis service brakes only both lines from the glad hands to the tank and distribution valve have been disconnected trying to figure out how they need to be hooked up
  3. No it’s a oil field float it’s made to let the nose down onto the ground the only landing gear is made out of pipe and folds up
  4. It has air brakes on it now but they are service brakes only no maxi brakes I just bought it and the old lines were disconnected and I’m trying to figure out how to hook them back up
  5. No it’s a old semi trailer built before maxi brakes were required
  6. can someone explain to me or post a diagram on how the air lines are connected to the tank and valve on a system with no maxi brakes I am running new lines and I’m not sure where they are supposed to be connected thanks Brian

  8. The automatic transmission fluid works good if you are afraid of the red color power steering fluid does good as well

  10. Bobwhite that’s a good question I think that at least part of the reason is that Henry Ford held a higher percentage of the market share for affordable cars than what Mack has ever held in the truck market

  12. If you really wanted to get carried away you could put a Spicer 1241 auxiliary transmission behind the transmission you already have
  13. Put farm plates on it they are exempt from most dot regulations might get by with over size as well
  14. Unless it’s been changed it would be positive ground the most common electric system is a 24 volt starter the rest of the truck being 12 volts using a series parallel switch and 4 6 volt batteries
  15. My B-615 had this done by a previous owner by removing the internal parts moving the breather connection and mounting upside down
  16. It being a 12 speed it’s very possible that the air lines are not properly connected and it’s not shifting out of neutral
  17. Someone correct me if I’m wrong as stated above the Superliner came out in 77 replacing the RS/RL 700 at the Hayward plant and the R-700 continued to be built in Pennsylvania then in 1985 the Hayward plant was shut down and moved to Pennsylvania ending production of the R-700

  19. If the shaft in the pump isn’t turning then there’s something wrong with your tach drive and it needs either repaired or replaced

  22. My two trucks with the 865 have the power steering reservoir made on the pump and the Superliner with the E-9 has a separate reservoir mounted elsewhere does anyone know if this is because of a different engine model or different model truck
