  1. Darn it, yeah I could have used that. I figured I'd rather buy from an individual instead of salvage. Thanks anyway
  2. Pittsburgh, PA area…. anyone selling a 10 speed RoadRanger? Looking for either an RT-910 or RTO-910. (Would consider an FR-9210)
  3. Very impressive, thank you for the information. I cannot remember what ratio the rear ends are, so I will have to check on that. The truck is a 1988 RD690S and has been parked in a building for years. The engine and the transmission were removed many years ago. Using the VIN, I was at least able to find out that the engine and transmission should be an EM6-250L four valve with a T2050 five speed. I know a fellow who has a TRL 107 five speed on hand, and he has an EM6-237 two valve and an endt-675 too. All out of R models. I am just not sure if anything different would work or what my combination options are (if any). Looks like maybe the front engine mount might be an issue too. The truck would just be used for local running.
  4. Thanks for the information. Out of curiosity, on a truck with an EM-6 or ENDT-675, could a TRL107 be swapped out with a T2050 without any major modifications (ie mounts, bell housing bolts etc)?
  5. How does the T2050 five speed transmission differ from the TRL 107 five speed transmission? What are the gear ratios for the T2050? (1988 R690)
  6. Hello. I have a 1988 RD690S (EM6-250L 4VH and 5 speed) and wanted to ask you all a few questions about the interchangeability of parts from a late 70's/early 80's R685S (EM6-237 2VH and 5 speed). Both are cab & chassis now and I'd like to make one truck out of two, IF it's possible. The RD690S has a good frame but bad cab and engine, and the R685S has a good cab and engine but bad frame. Hoping some of you could help me out with the info. My questions are: - Can the EM6-250L 4VH engine be directly swapped out with the EM6-237 2VH as far as engine mounts, space, etc? - Will both 5 speed transmissions be interchangeable using the same mounting? - Will the RD690S cab directly swap out with the R685S cab? How about the hood? Any info is much appreciated. Thanks!
  7. Any idea what engine is shown in these two pictures? Endt-673 or endt-675?? No info tag behind the fuel lines. It’s in a friends 69 R model.
  8. I was at a repair shop awaiting some parts and there was a late 80's superliner in there for service. On the side of the hood it said "econodyne", and the person at the counter said it was an 88' RW613 with a 5 speed transmission, and he said it wasn't a V8 but a mack inline 6. Just for my own information, which of the inline 6 engines would mack have put in a econodyne superliner with a 5 speed??
  9. Thanks for your offer.. that would be a little too big for what I’d need it for unfortunately.
  10. Anyone know of any Cummins NH220 engines for sale in the Pittsburgh PA area?
  11. That Fuller 5H74T you mention, it's an ancient 5 speed transmission, I think it pre-dates the T905 series. It's very small (if I'm remembering correctly), and I don't even think you can get internal parts for those anymore.
  12. It's been a while since I've been exposed to anything with 2 sticks, but I believe you're correct about the auxiliary transmission being a 3 speed. But look closer at the tag, because it may say 8031C instead of E.
  13. Anybody ever use one of those waterproof class B RV covers to cover an R model? Or is there any type of cover out there made for trucks? Have to move mine outside for about 6 months and I’d like to protect it somehow.
  14. Yea most likely. I contacted a local Mack dealer and the “kid” at the parts desk said it looks like there’s four pieces and it’ll be 500 each for the toe pans and 275 each for the floor panels. Wow!
  15. Ok thank you. Let me know. I sent you an email on here too. I checked Watts website, the have the sills for under the doors but did not see any floor pieces.
  16. I have a '72 R685ST, it's time to replace floor panels...looks like there is a toe pan and a floor panel on each the driver and passenger side, 4 pieces total. Does anyone have any info and/or leads on if there are aftermarket replacements out there somewhere.
  17. Well that’s an idea, but then I’ll have the whole department to feed ☕️ 🍩
  18. thanks for all the info! "Not For Hire" would be visible just to be safe. Anybody with historic plates...has any cops ever bothered you guys for driving "too frequently"? I've heard people say that they've been pulled over and had an officer tell them a truck with Historic plates isn't supposed to be used as general transportation. I mean, when the weather's nice out how can they stop you from taking a Sunday drive in the summer and going for ice cream??
  19. Yeah it seems the DMV doesn't like handing out historic plates. I won't be doing anything commercially, if anything, I'd haul another antique vehicle with it to truck shows. But it would be my own personal property. I've noticed a lot of people at the truck shows do not have a CDL. Some plates even say recreational vehicle, but I don't know how they pulled that off.
  20. Did they make you get a US DOT number? Wouldn’t think one is needed as it’s not commercial but I’m not sure. Does the historical plates include the registration?
  21. Anybody know how to go about registering an antique semi and antique trailer in the state of Ohio?? I get different answers from the DMV each time I call, so figured I’d ask on here as I’m sure there’s others who have registered antique semi’s for recreational and show purposes in the state of OH.
  22. Aside from HP and Torque, what are some things (if any) that would make an Econodyne engine (say an EM6-275) differ from the older 6 cyl. Maxidyne ENDT engines? (I imagine emissions and maybe four valve heads but just wondering if there's anything else). Operating ranges the same?
  23. Thanks for the information. Good idea, just time consuming.
