My E6 4V did it to but sounded like from the side intermittent at idle was doing it for couple years,Don't recall hearing it after new injection pump. 

Looking at 87 mack superliner RW 75 are they quit a bit heavier than the 600 superliners this one has 3406 cat 9 speed maxi torque.

Its doesn't seem to be pumping oil builds air a bit quicker.Mack mechanic told me a guy replaced compressor on cat engine he let it run 1 hour to break in he said compressor was so hot.

replaced with new one was told to open tank run at 1100 rpm for half hr to break in the rings thanks for the replies.

Thinking about replacing my old 13 speed fuller shifter knob has two speed splitter not 3 to new style is it just a swap or is there more to it than that.

keep air filter serviced.Good advice tho wouldn't have thought of that.

i've put two rebuilded air compressors on my mack E6 350 both pump oil was wondering if getting one from Mack be better.dryer leaks oil have to change cartridges quiet often.

seen a documentary on youtube on that expedition interesting.

truck with 3406b. Flutter at low rpms loses hold prime after 2 days local mechanic said guy had issue with his losing prime to R600 changed all the fuel lines and it was good after that he said those braided lines suck air over time i'm sure mine are original so hes making new lines for mine. I'm not sure what type of pump mine is but will try and find out its a nice truck shame that parts are obsolete.

Was wanting to get my injection pump rebuilt but mack said only 50/50 chance of getting parts anyone know where a person could buy a rebuilt according to them need specialty tools to install cause of timing 1987 E6 350 4V Pump Model 300 PLM 4503638

maybe this dealer doesn't have full access to the system or just warehouse.

Thanks for the info ordered a new one dealer said only 2 left in north america.

1987 mack 350 4V is there a fuel check valve and if so where would it be located. 

long haul driver said years ago he always added atf every fuel up cant remember how much he added. it seems these newer truck 6-7 hundred ks there getting rebuilds seems premature.

Pump serial number starts with PLM waiting for calls back from pump shops so poured diesel injector cleaner in tanks yesterday  after half hour couldn't believe the difference it made idle almost perfect bumpy side road still a little surging I change fuel filters on oil changes

What to get governor rebuilt e6 350 4v can it be removed without taking injection pump out looks tight with air compressor 

im from Saskatchewan its a 48in. no its not for sale.

mine is full opening to the floor believe it is a mic mak sleeper.thanks

want to remove sleeper from R688 is the rubber between cab and sleeper bolted on dont want to ruin it want to install dump box.
