  5. "Maybe you havent noticed, most people on here prefer to keep our trucks in N.AMERICA" but...watch what you say! many of your macks and mack parts came from the friendly NORTH!
  6. When I talked to Columbus diesel, they said to use a Hx not Ht. it spins in reverse and builds better boost. the flang is mount is different from the the stock E9 manifold. the exhaust cast elbo is an odd size o.d., so you might have to change the elbo. Mine was pitted bad, so I took 2 90deg 5" cut them lenght wise and fit them to have the same turn angle as stock cast elbo. I know some people will take this the wrong way, So here goes! lots of people say they have this or that done to the engines/trucks, by different shops or by them selfs, but when some one asks what was done in "DETAIL" almost NEVER is there reply!? why is that? would it be wrong to share "DETAILED" info? is it because you spent the money to do the modifaction, your ego wont let you share "DETAILED" info? we are all on BMT for the same reason! BOBO
  7. Mine is a '89 with the ambac vee.
  8. Thanks Staxx thats what we thought, but the "old" parts guy at the dealer did find the number and ordered the gasket! We installed it last nite! ran the truck for about 1/2 hour, pumped the brakes down to make it kick on and no leaks! I used a thin coat of hi-temp rtv gasket maker aswell. the gasket was found in one of the old paper parts binders, under power steering piping, which makes no sense, when the power steering pump is bolted beside it not to it! bobo
  9. Does any one know the part number for the E9, bendix 701 air comp. mounting gasket? I have gone to dealer, and 2 jobbers, we cant find numbers or even a picture of it? bobo
