  1. I have a 1949 Mack pumper, 85LS1360, original owner Montclair NJ FD. I would like to remove the “Sock” oil and replace it with a spin off type filer. I would like to attach the spin of filter and its mount to the fire wall. Does this seem possible? Any advice and/or suggestions will be appreciated. I am not a mechanic by trade, but I know my left from my right so any advice, please keep it simple Thank you Michael Hannigan Lebanon, OH

  3. Recently purchased a 1980 Mack R series Rescue Truck. I will be requesting information from the Mack Museum soon, but want to change the fluids now and I would like to know the capacities of the fluids, oil, water/antifreeze, transmission. Truck serial # R611FC-1057, motor type ETZ673 ( might be RTZ673, my copy not too clear). Transmission is a HT-740D. It is a diesel motor with a turbocharger Thank you Mike Hannigan
