  1. I have a problem with a 99 mack ch 613 with a e7 400hp when you go to start it on a cold day like below zero you turn on the key and try starting it and it will not fire then you shut the key off and the parking brake light and the low air pressure lights stay on and will not shut off untill you disconnect the battrey then sometimes you can get it to start when you hook up the battrey but it will not start if that relay is sticking the only problem is I cannot find the relay that is sticking I tried unpluging one by one the relays under the hood but it is not one of them where are the other relays that could be causing the ignition sticking problem?

  3. Thanks much I go the problem fixed I noticed from the wiring diagram the fuel sender was on that circut so I unhooked it and the fuse did not blow any more
  4. Thanks! I got the diagram when it warms up a little I will trace that circut down. We are going to get a snow storm here today so I hate to start on anything. When is this winter going to end!
  5. You could email it to me Mark@maringfarm.com Thanks for the help
  6. Yes it is a e-tech engine and you were right the fuse 41 was blown and I replaced it and it blew imediatly. I unpluged the fan clutch solonoid and it still blew the fuse. I wonder how I could trace down the wiring short? could it be a sender causing the problem?
  7. I have the engine malfunction light on and I figured out hoe to check the code and it is a 4 2 code and according to the owners manual it is fan clutch output fault. What does that mean? It is a ch 613 1999 model with a e7 400 hp One thing I noticed to is that the AC clutch is not getting any power to engage.
  8. I put a block heater in an 1999 E7 eteck drained out the antifreeze and wonder what kind of antifreeze I should use and if I have to put in an electrolysis prevention additive like you do for the old cummins. I have some extended life antifreeze made by peek will that work?
  9. It does not smoke at all I will try the boost gauge and fuel filters. Is there a way to check fuel pressure or do you need to take it to a mack dealer and hook it up to a computer.
  10. I picked up a 1999 mack e7 with 350,00 miles and it says 400 HP on the valve cover. It seems a little week on power I hooked it up to my empty end dump and it doesn't seem to have much power in 10 gear and I think my series 60 360 hp seems to have more power. Is there anything simple besides a fuel filter I could check? Is it possible to change hp on these without too much work?
