  1. Your right, the first year we had that lowboy the only thing it hauled was our broke equipment.
  2. Took the 454 out for some exercise this week. We went down to Charleston SC and did some local hauling around town. She did real good but I think she gonna need an overhaul. Oil psi is 20 at idle and 50 at road speed, not bad I guess but lower than what I'm used to seeing when I run my E9. Also, the blow by is more than what it needs to be. I've seen worse but it is still more than normal. It was a gallon low on oil before I left so I filled it up. Total trip was about 650 miles and the oil is still on the full mark so I guess that's a good sign. The trip wound up with me playing the wrecker driver. About two weeks ago we put 4 new tires across the back of unit #105 and aparantly the tire shop did not get the lugs tight enough. As you can see in the picture this truck is not a single axle. All the lug nuts came off loosing both wheels in the middle of a dirt road near Ridgeville, SC. Hub is ruined as well as the rims, brake drum, brake shoes. I guess we were lucky that this happened on a unpopulated dirt road instead of a busy Interstate.
  3. I guess it must have the tip turbine set up because of the two intake stacks, but how is it plumbed up? Looks like one filter with two outlets like an R model would be simpler.
  4. Anybody got one they want to sale? Got a friend that needs one for a t2180.
  5. Thanks to all my Big Mack friends for the b-day wishes.
  6. Where can I find some specs on Mack turbos? I have several new and used turbo's, and I would like to know which are the better turbos.
  7. We had 2 1990 RD's with E6 300M's(4V heads) and T2070's but we also had a 1989 Superliner with and E7 400.
  8. I have not had time to put the Pitt mufflers on yet. I hope when I get the CH on the road I can take time to fix some things I've been neglecting on the ole Superliner. The boys did have a good time that day. I don't think I had to fuss or call them down all day long.
  9. The grill is unusual but the cab and windshields definitly look like an A-Car.
  10. I took my two boys and my nephew (and the truck) to the ATHS truckshow in Cherokee, NC back in Oct. and when my show book arrived a few months later this pic was in there. I called the lady who took the photos and she gladly made me a copy of it and sent it to me (for a reasonable $5). It might look a little shabby but I had to take a pic of the pic with my cell phone. Top left-Hayden Randolph(son) Top right-Simon Randolph(nephew) Bottom-Hunter Randolph(son).
  11. 567000 on the miles. I'll get some pics of the interior after I clean it. Last owner/driver used superglue to add on somechrome guage covers and made a mess. Thank ya'll for the good feedback.
  12. Will do, and I hope it's real soon!!!
  13. Here it is, my new play purty. I could also call it an early birthday present to myself. 98' CH613 set forward front axle, E7 454, 10 spd Fuller, 3:86 rears on air, 11R 24.5 rubber on all aluminum wheels, dual exhaust, dual airride seats, 64" midrise sleeper, mid level interior, full guage package, power windows and door locks, 242" wheelbase. I can't wait to go try it out with a load.
  14. Going to pick it up in the am. I will post some pics asap.
  15. Name: Unit 117 Date Added: Owner: bubbamobilin bubbamobilin
  16. Those prices make me feel a lot better about the 2 E9 powered (complete) MH cabovers I bought last year.
  17. Well I did save one from the exporters this week. Bought a 98 CH set forward with a 64" midrise. It has an E7 454. I have not pulled a load with it yet, but I've never been one to leave well enough alone and I know I'm gonna want more power. Any suggestions? I don't want to outdo my buddies Pete ( that's what I have the E9 for) but I do want him to wear out a set of eyeballs looking in the rear view mirror.
  18. Are those Mr. Turpin's trucks? If so, he's a great guy. I met him in the fall at the ATHS truck show in Cherokee, NC and we talked for several hours. He had several trucks there including the R700. He did not bring the MH's but talk very fondly of them.
  19. I posted in the wrong topic a minute ago(I'm not computer savy). I wish I could save em all but I can't. Here's two more Lagos, Nigeria bound. 1995 CH's, E7 V MAC's. I here the exporters don't want the E Tech's either.
  20. Here's two more I couldn't save. Lagos Nigeria bound.
  21. Smokey and the Bandit and Convoy should be required viewing and a test givin before you can get a CDL!
  22. Me too! I once wanted straight pipes on my trucks and drag pipes on my bikes. I'm 40 years old now and I think I'm loosing my hearing. I have 7 year old twin boys who like to go with me when they are not in school. They spend a lot of time in the sleeper and I know it's louder back there than in the cab so me (and my wife) think it's time to quiet the big truck down.
  23. Thanks for the help. We're gonna get em on there on way or another even if we have to engineer something. I hope I'm gonna like these Pitt mufflers. I decided to go with them because I figured they would have the least restriction and I don't want this thing to be completely quiet. I still wanna here that E9 bark a little bit.
  24. Tried to get the Mack dealer to find the size dia. of the original mufflers but he could not find it. Even with a 9" muffler the clamps he sold me are still going to be too short.
