  1. Me too I recabbed my 79 RW 713 with an 89 cab now I have to replumb the air lines behind the dash everything was so covered in oil I took it all out to clean it up. I could eventually figure out where the ones I didn't label go but a diagram would be so much quicker.
  2. I three works "because they can" is why they have to be let into the scouts. We have a starving lawyer lurking under any rock big enough to slither under looking to make a name for their self taking these cases. Just like the bakery the liberals tried to ruin because they stood on their beliefs and wouldn't bake a couple queers (yes lets call them what they are) a wedding cake because bakery owners and us here know its just WRONG. They could have just walked away to another bakery but we all know what happens when one refuses a liberal cause their enforcers (liberal media) go into action to run them into bankruptcy. I really feel for my grandchildren the world has been corrupted and I might say in a very short span of time. All I have to say is rock on Trump keep smashing down all the liberal crap they have been slowly ruining our country and with it the boy scouts, girl scouts and other extra curricular activities our kids have been enjoying for many decades.
  3. Yes I still have the air ride set up for the rear of the R model cab.

Could you send me some pics of it please?

  4. Bring some chains and binders we had the big john spade unit put on a ford 8000 chassis in Arkansas almost 40 years ago and drove it back to Illinois. We used the binders and chains to pull it down tight into the cradle to keep it from bouncing around while driving it on rough roads and take the wear and tear off the lift cylinders.
  5. Or sometimes you get a real dumb ass that has left the lever down in the down position draining all the oil from the hoist. I seen one do this as they pulled it forward with a chain with no oil in the hoist the box slams down pushing the tractor into what they are pulling it forward with it was pretty comical for me and real costly for the owner of the truck. All I could do is shake my head in disbelief and remind myself these people drive the same roads as my wife and kids.
  6. Yes the compressor can be the problem we just replaced one on the RD I drive at work because it was pressurizing the coolant tank.
  7. The dead give away is when it says warsaw trucking on the door.
  8. I really shouldn't say this because there is no good direct way to without sounding prejudice but the blacks have traditionally burned down their own neighborhoods rioting or protesting then complain they have no grocery stores or pharmacys in their neighborhood kind of self destructive behavior. Now they are working on self destructing the very industry that employs a higher number of them than most at out of sight salaries again I say this as an observation not being prejudice they will complain that it will be some elses fault when it implodes.
  9. I ended up getting 14 pin direct replacements from del city electronics same size and length as the originals brass studs and all just bolted them on the truck tonight two days and they were on my door step.
  10. I was hauling CA-6 to a job today and saw a couple of the last remaining yazel trailers being pulled by south of the border junk. How ironic is it trailers from one of the pioneers of gravel hauling in this area being pulled by the very people that are going to put the last of the remaining anglo gravel haulers out of business seems sacrilegious to me.
  11. We no longer turn it on in our house we wont give them and the liberal media a way to further their agenda here.
  12. I need new junction blocks for the superliner they mount on the firewall and the wire harness is attached to them they are plastic 16 terminal and are always broken when you take them off. I can get PAI 13 terminal blocks but no 16 terminal blocks. I'm sure mack has them but I want to use them at last resort if anyone has a set of good ones I would be interested in buying them.
  13. Mine has done the same thing for months now I think like me your at the amount of space allotted for pictures you have to delete some from your stored ones on your profile.
  14. I have enough projects another and I may have to put a bunk on it to live in when I get kicked out of the house.
  15. I have no problem with legal immigration and its perks but that being said you cant tilt the table toward the immigrant and make it a monopoly for them as the Us citizen with a business cant compete with their tax exempt status. I also know when their time limit is up it gets sold to another family member keeping the monopoly going. In a perfect world the table being level for both new citizen and those who legally immigrate here would promote competition as it should but it isn't a perfect world and one would have to scratch their head wondering why law makers would make such a stupid law that only has a downside for the born here citizen.
  16. If your a foreigner I don't believe they make you pay taxes for a certain amount of years when you start your own business. I had thought of taking the superliner when it was done and hauling gravel but to many south of the border guys hauling to just pay for the truck. Since there is no longer any loyalty to guys who do a good job or have worked hauling for these companies for years theres no point in trying. Business today is all about money they would drop you in a second for someone who would haul a load for ten dollars less. It a revolving door these guys that park in the rolling junk yard across the street always have a trainee in the truck they will blow a little smoke up you know where about working for yourself and how good it is to be an O/O that fall their truck is up for sale to the next victim.
  17. Back before everyone had to have 500 horses to pull a gravel trailer.
  18. The mechanic must be ex military that's what the torque rods are called on military trucks I have replaced lots of dog bones.
  19. All the junk on the roads is because the soaring cost of liability insurance, tires, fuel etc. I'm sure we are on borrowed time running our company owned fleet of old R model macks hauling gravel to the precast plant. I'm really glad I only have two years until retirement those old junks running asphalt are running by the hour 45 miles per hour down the same two lane roads we need to run they are nothing but rolling road blocks. We have one of those rolling junk yards where they park probably 75-100 of them down the road from our plant they will run you over in their personal vehicles while you make a right turn into the plant in the morning but when they get in their big rig its 45 miles an hour all the way.
  20. You have to use their tactics your the minority now so start screaming discrimination but I doubt it would do you any good like it works for them.
  21. That truck comes in our concrete yard a lot that's the third or fourth bumper I have seen on that truck in a couple years. Just like our south of the border owner operators in my neck of the woods their requirements for a truck is it has to have a jake brake and twin stacks preferably six inches in diameter that look like a pair of chrome plated culverts strapped to the cab. Oh and lets not forget the huge air dam chrome bumper preferably bent and straightened out on both sides I even saw one with clearance lights lined across the crease to try to hide it.
  22. Have seen both plastic and rubber mine are plastic about a quarter inch thick.
  23. OK I see you want the twin trumpet style horn I have 26 inch singles one for each side they are tall enough to clear the cab lights.
  24. The grover air horns were stock on most old macks. I gave a pair to our shop manager at work his B model had the horns but no back caps or diaphrams. He may just put the horns on his truck if they are the right length I have another set sitting here I will see if the ones I gave him yesterday fit. Mine are used and have some pitting your welcome to them if they fit I will know later today.
