If your going of the speedo check to make sure it's correct.   Something dosent quite seem right.   Mine had a 4.60 rear with direct 10 speed tranny and 10.00 x 22 drive tires and according to GPS it would run around 55.  My 295/75/22.5 steering tires measure 39" with 80psi

You better keep stepping.   Its right around the corner.

I bought Some  at advanced auto parts once that came in a toothpaste tube.    It reminded me of jb weld.   

I've had old battery's that would have 12+ volts but they loose the cranking amps over time.   I think it's due to internal corrosion on the plates.     Just like blackdog  said load test them.

From what I've been told in PA with classic tags you do need a cdl but with antique you don't.   With either tag you cant receive any type of payment for doing a service with the truck.  But like freightrain said its a really touchy subject, and I agree that you will get a different answer from every official you ask.   I'm trying to decide which to put on mine antique or classic and I've got different answers every time looked into it.    

I have read thomastractor's post several times.     I have a pp-1 valve to use.   I kinda like the flipper valve idea.   Is the wet dry valve a on-off switch or just some kind of limiting thing.    I haven't tore into the dash yet.   

I'm getting ready to plumb my b67 for maxi's.  I'm looking for ideas where to mount the knob.     Im thinking about eliminating the "front break slippery wet road" valve and putting the maxi  knob in its place.   Any ideas or pics of where yours are?   Thanks

Directions / instructions are always left open for interpretation.   When starting a new project it's nice to see how someone else has already done it, and not dive in completely blind.  

I sent to my boss.    That should wake him up this morning.     Maybe he will let me keep my freightliner.

Grilling season is almost here.

We took the the kids on a local "history" lesson  this summer.   The pottsville brewery is a neat place to tour. 

I read on here somewhere that some of the air compressors have there  own metal screen filter.  It gets gunked up and needs cleaned.   Just an idea to check out.   Good luck.

Thanks for the pictures.  Now I'm thinking about another part to my never ending project.  

When I stretched my B I ran into the same issue of 2 different sizes.   I took my existing drive shaft to the shop with a measurement.  they where able to just replace the yoke on the one end of the tube and not have to build a whole new shaft.

Thanks Mike, interesting.      I guess the extended bumper would defeat the idea of the short hood and my concave cab, but so does my 196" wheelbase.   Does anyone have a handy pic  of the extended bumper on the truck?  Kinda standing by the fender looking down on it, or maybe side view.       Going to use truck to haul out tractors to some shows and I think some type of front hook would be a good idea.
