  1. You don't have deep enough pockets made in USA and will stay in USA
  2. Welcome ezrider that cx will be a great truck e7 one of Mack's best motors ever made in my oppion .
  3. Just an FYI I have the factory wiring diagrams for ch ,cx,cv,mr,le, factory diagrams from when I worked for Mack I also have air piping diagrams for any r series and ch . For ch cx I have every wiring diagram there is trans abs whatever if you need copies of any just pm me.
  4. Awesome truck hope it ends up in good hands! Love those bird catchers on the air filters.
  5. Look on the drivers side kick panel right beside the clutch .pull back the black carpet that is were the roof harness and the dash harness plug in to each other. They like to corrode back there. I fixed many of ch and cx trucks when I worked for a Mack dealer. They sit right against the side cowel panel and in the winter the cab is warm and that cowl is cold they sweat and corrode . Try that and see if that helps .
  6. I think ms windshields are still available from Mack . If not most any local glass company in your area should have one. When I install them I have two people if the existing seal is good use it. I install the seal on the glass and then Install a small rope in the locking portion of the seal on the inside . Have your two rope ends come together at the bottom of the windshield. Some folks use soapy water in a spray bottle for lube it works well just a little messy I think .I use foaming glass cleaner to lube the seal a lot less messy. Set the bottom of the glass on the pinch weld with the two rope ends on the inside of the cab have the person inside start pulling the rope as you push slightly on the windshield to help hold it in place as the seal goes into place . I use a hook tool to help the seal seat on the outside. And sometimes on the inside if needed . It usually only takes about fifteen min to get the glass in sits not hard.
  7. Ch is a great truck one of my favorite. 97 was one of the best years for the ch. awesome fleet keep them they are good ole gals!
  8. I would like to see pics and a price if the white in the pole barn could be bought that was my dad's first truck . He had a 1970 250 cummins with a nine speed fuller that truck kept our family fed would love to get one for my dad.
  9. Gotta love ch Mack's they are the second most iconic to the Mack name next to the r model . A ch was the first Mack I ever drove one of my favorite
  10. It's a 1977 engine it was taken out of an f model and was running when it was pulled out . I took all four valve covers off and it is Clean inside looks almost new. The guy I got it from bought it from a guy who bought it to put in his super liner he thought all Mack v8s were the same. When he found out it was not a e9 four valve it was a two valve he didn't want it. Must not be to familiar with Mack's oh we'll worked great for me
  11. I was very happy to come across this 865 for a parts engine for my 866. It is out of a 77 f model . This should keep my ole v8 running for a while parts for these are so hard to find. I was concerned about finding parts to keep my 866 going I did not want to have to put a 6 cyl in my rs because I couldn't find parts for my v8 not near as cool .
  12. Looking for a used or rebuildable power steering pump and res for endt 865 or 866
  13. I just bought four brand new head gaskets for my 866 this week Mack's Chicago warehouse has them I ordered them from my local mack dealer. Most people are just to lazy to do any digging or pull out an old parts book instead of a computer to look up the part number I can give you the oem part numbers if you want
  14. What year is it? Looks great I'm glad to see there are other guys with the same problem I have you just have to save the old gals and give them a great retirement .

  16. On my 73 rs it only has a primary air system with no secondary. Does anyone know what year they started using the secondary air system?
  17. The 866 in my truck has made it 41 years of service . The guy I got it from said it was a good truck for many years . So they were not all junk
  18. The trans in mine is kinda odd it has a fuller rto 12513 13 speed it was factory that is what the build sheet shows . I haven't seen to many v8 with a fuller behind them I've always seen mack trans .
  19. Thanks, I wondered what made the horsepower differance if it was just the pump & turbo or displacement differance. These engines were before my time and is hard to find folks that even know about them anymore thanks again
  20. Sorry I see about the 864 parts only being interchangeable with 864 but I didn't see but didn't see an explanation on the endt 865 and endt 866 parts interchanging
