Its an option for the future. Dont know if its worth the extra few grand just to make it look cool when its parked though.

The expected 525 hp and 525 ft lbs of torque should get it moving pretty good. Aluminum heads and intake will take some weight out of it as well.

Thanks guys! Yeah i always hate seeing a chevy in a ford, although the t56 im using is technically out of a camaro. I justified it because its not technically a chevy transmission since mustangs and vipers and other performance cars also used the same transmission.

Thought id post my project truck.I've been working on it a little over two years now. I hope to be done by the time i graduate and ill be pretty close i think. Mustang 2 frontend, triangulated four link rear, ford 429 big block, t-56 6 speed and 8.8 ford rear. Body is gonna stay stock. The new trucks with dual stacks have a y pipe under/at the back of the cab like what guys do on their pickups. No advantage over single.

there were a fair amount of trucks with that reunion. Mostly exports. All the trucks in the pictures that have the Dayton spoke wheels were exports with 65,000 lb axles with the larger trunion. -

They are mostly gas but there was an order that started when I was leaving of diesel tractors. They were Cummins engines though. -

There were a fair amount of CH tractors. There just werent many that wer noteworthy to take pictures of other than that tri drive one. -

Forgot about that sorry. You would be surprised how many trucks sitting right outside of the plant waiting to be shipped alreay have some rust coming from between framerails and crossmembers and other places the paint doesnt reach.

Mack doesnt use rivets on their chassis. They use what are called huck bolts. The frames are also painted after being assembled so its not uncommon to see rust between crssmembers.

Just an update on this. It looks like some of the issues we were having were from a clutch going bad. We had another shop take a look and it looks like high gear was worn which was causing the main problem. They are gonna rebuild it.

Granite tractors

A lot of new york state plow trucks are granite tractors. When my internship is done here at macungie ill post up some pictures of unique trucks that have been built. Other than the new york state trucks, ive seen a handfull of granite tractors come off the line this summer -
So a 2070 would definitely fit?

My name is nick. My dad has three mack trucks. He has a 1987 r tractor, a 1989 r dump and a 2001 rd dump. I also am currently working as an engineering intern at the macungie plant. Hope to learn some things here.

My dad has a 1987 mack tandem dump truck. The t- 2060 transmission was run low on oil and either needs replaced or rebuilt. The guy he usually take his transmissions to says it might be worth it to get a reman or rebuilt since running it low on oil might have changed the temper on the smaller gears. My question is is there any other make transmissions that will fit the same as the 2060. I read somewhere that the 2070 would fit, but i want to make sure of this first since a local truck parts place has a few 2070's but no 2060's.
