  2. hi all just a quick intro to me and why I joined this site, my name is Patrick and I live in Halifax, UK, I have worked in the industry since leaving school both as a mechanic and driver. it all started with my old fella who was a truck driver all his life and during school holidays I would travel the UK with him seeing all different types, shapes, sizes and makes of trucks, it only seemed natural I would follow in his footsteps.... over here in the UK most trucks are European and to be honest all very similar, both to look at and drive. my interest in US iron started, as with most folk over here, with Convoy (if Kris "didn't love his truck" I certainly did) and since then, early 1980s, I have been interested in classic trucks, cars and bikes. any how I am currently off work recovering from a shoulder operation and was going through some old films and ended up watching Convoy, this got me thinking, what model, engine etc the Duck's Mack was??? fortunately there is plenty of info on the web and my curiosity was fulfilled. then I started looking at other classic Macks, Rs, Fs, Bs etc, these trucks are absolutely awesome, looks and sounds (especially the V8s), you guys and girls in the US and OZ are really lucky as my opportunity to drive one of these machines is almost nil. anyway I found this site and have been reading topics and posts for the last week and the stuff on here is fantastic. keep up the good work !!! I have attached a couple of pics from a show in wales last year, hope they are to your liking ( sorry about the KWs) Keep on trucking Patrick
